This is one of the very last around the country. The downtown location has been here in Fort wayne since the late 1800’s. The Georgetown location opened sometime in the 1970’s, and not sure on the date for the 3rd location, 80’s or 90’s maybe. All sell pipes and cigars and have smoking lounges.

Got a package in the mail yesterday from Goldbrick . 3 Pipes, a tin of Balkan Sasieni and a few packets of dye for staining pipes. The pipes, top to bottom, are: West End Pipes, square-shanked Rhodesian/Bulldog; Comoy's The Guildhall: home-carved pipe by Herb's friend, Larry. I've already started fiddling with the Larry pipe. It's getting a new stem, streamlining the shank, and taking quite a bit of material off the bowl. Thanks again, Herb!

Just some projects to fiddle with between pipes. I never could get started on that block at the bottom; it'll be fun to see what it becomes next. That tobacco might not fit in your usual diet of burley flavors, but there's enough age on it to make it a treat for those moments when you need something different.

Here's a link to my blog... railroadpostcards.blogspot.com/What do you like to collect? Very cool! I collect antique RPPC French risqué cards and cards with historic Detroit themes. I won’t post any of the French cards so my comment doesn’t get removed but this was my most recent acquisition.

In the case of those famous French postcards, what women were like, too!

Well, that Comoy's Black & Tan I bought from Country Squire has gone missing in the mail. Somehow, they got my old address on it, despite my specifically checking for that before hitting the "place order" button. Anyway, that's where it went. Who know what will happen to it now. That was a really nice looking pipe.

Their software just screwed up.

Not pipe related, mailed 3 heated vests yesterday, 2 to Mandeville LA 1 to Odem TX, cost almost 100$, UPS WAY UP, wife went to Lafayette and mailed them as they were late for Christmas, guess it’s a preview of things to come.

I use Paypal shipping weigh at home and print at home, and it offers a comparison between UPS/USPS, and it can be quite a bit more with UPS. Overall the prices across the board have gone up. Most of the time it is cheaper to just ship from the store to a person.

I got the longest Canadian I’ve ever seen, 10 1/2” long (270mm). It’s marked Protter NYC. I know nothing about this brand/maker. It’s only been used a little. Seems like a perfect fit to my often quirky collection.

Arrived: the Comoy's billiard I snagged off eBay: As I recall, the preferred method for cleaning up the blackened rim is uncut Murphy's Oil Soap and some elbow grease. Is that correct?
