Always good to start with saliva as scummy as that seems and work your way up the table of cleaning solutions. Even then, sometimes a restoration is the ticket.

A 72 pack of Green Mountain Ethiopia Supreme K-cups to restock one of our favorites. This is an excellent single origin coffee, but unfortunately I haven’t been seeing it in stores and have been ordering it from Amazon for a while. I was once a coffee snob grinding beans and using a good coffee maker with thermal carafe. However, I’ve learned the joys of brewing single cups at a time and have found several tasty K-cups.

As a hotel dweller, I agree. The K-cup offerings are better than the past in room offerings....more often than not the coffee is better than what is offered in the breakfast nook. I would never go to a starbucks store, everything tastes like burnt beans. the pods, pike place (and another I cannot remember) are excellent. The Mauds blends are good also.

I got the longest Canadian I’ve ever seen, 10 1/2” long (270mm). It’s marked Protter NYC. I know nothing about this brand/maker. It’s only been used a little. Seems like a perfect fit to my often quirky collection. I like it, but I'm not a clincher.

We have tried most of the common k-cups, and now we just buy the Amazon brand, Solimo, in breakfast blend and French roast. It tastes as good as any k-cup we have tried. $30/100.

What is chicken shite about the palace station where the las Vegas pipe show is, they have no in room coffee makers, they want you to go down to the first floor and buy a cup of burnt beans Starbucks for $10 or more for you and the wife. That is the only gripe about the place, but it really sucks when you want to just wake up and have some coffee in your hotel room. Of course you can order room service and pay $20.00.
If I drive there next year I will take my Bunn and let everyone know where they can get free coffee at my room.

Umm, looks like the MOS is actually removing some of the stain along with the gunk. Yup. Well, it went from blackened dark to too light. Gonna have to send it out for restoration at some point. Oops. Fiebing's Mahogany leather dye. Great looking pipe, btw.

Good Sunday Morning! It's 11° here with a light snowfall. This afternoon I'm going to finally shovel the snow and spread some ice melter. The warmup starts tomorrow along with the melt and refreeze cycle, so the ice melter will be a must. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Peterson Flake in the Upshall smooth quarter-bent Dublin and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my insulated work coat. Have a good one everybody!

Our local small grocery store in the village is a Spartan store and carries a store brand called Our Family. In the Our Family K-cups, they have an excellent Colombian which is noticeably less expensive than the name brands.

I ordered a 12-pack of Ball jars for tobacco storage and that'll be delivered today along with my tobacco order. I have gotten to the point that I have more jars than I need...plenty of bulks already jarred and I do not expect to ever buy any more bulk, enough for my life. Enough empty jars on hand to put an open tin into. Not bragging, but at some point in cellaring we all get there. Quarterly, I need to let the pipe club members know that free jars are available. Sometimes thrift stores have used jars very cheap, sometimes they are ridiculously overpriced, it is all about whoever assigns the prices at a particular Goodwill store....

I have an out going mail flag for our mailbox on the way. There are mailboxes that don't come with those? Yes. Recently we arranged with the local post office to have our mail delivered to our door because of our handicapped issues. Since the PO requires that mail be put in a mailbox, we had to buy a wall mounted model and have it mounted to the balusters for the front porch handrail. This type of mailbox doesn't come with an outgoing mail flag, but there's all kinds of magnetic signs and flags available to put on them.

For most of my life, I lived where the mail was delivered to the house, usually through a slot next to the front door. In 2005 we moved out of the city and i was awakened to reality.

NOT in the mail: that Comoy's Black & Tan acorn I bought from Country Squire.
That one appears to be a dead loss. Delivered to the wrong address on the 12th and hasn't been seen or heard of since.

I had been thinking for some time that I was ready to order more Gawith Hoggarth Rum Twist. Last week. Smokingpipes had an offer of free can with purchase. I got it in the mail today. I doubt I’ll use the can, but it’s fun to have and it pushed me to order the twist. Interesting, new packaging again from GH.
