Two estates due today from Briarworks: another small Pete standard system and a carved meerschaum.

A couple bales of Haunted Bookshop, a brick of Night Train and a few cans and tins of other tobaccos for the cellar.

Turns out I really liked the Rattray's Jocks mixture; more is on the way.

My recently rec’d estate meerschaum. Nice! He’s looking pretty intense, which seems appropriate since he has a fire burning in his head every now and then.

I thought I couldn’t go wrong for $50. Smokes really well.

At the insistence of someone elsewhere on the internet I ordered this Mithril from the Tobacco Leaf in Denver. It smells oddly familiar but I haven’t put my finger on what it is.

^They should be able to divulge the contents without giving the recipe away.

^They should be able to divulge the contents without giving the recipe away. From its description it’s something I wouldn’t normally even try, they claim it’s golden cavendish and dark fired, which looks and smells right. It’s the toppings that are familiar, the bag smell heavily reminds me of an L. J. Peretti aromatic. I’m smoking my first bowl now.

I also got this today. I’ve already cleaned it up. I decided this one is going to get smoked.

Turns out I really liked the Rattray's Jocks mixture; more is on the way. Well, my 4-3.5 oz tins of Rattray's JM arrived in the early evening. Bummer was that 2 of the tins have dents. I think the seals are not compromised, but honestly, I'm pissed.

In one of these a tin was downright mangled. I find such things upsetting too.

I think that in all of my shipments from every place, I received one slightly dented tin, and it was a round one, so no problem.

Did you reach out to the baccy shops and complain? I sent an email and simply said I was disappointed with my order. We shall see how they respond.

I would have if I had multiple broken seals. I only open one at a time and that would have been a little much for me to overlook.

I think the seals are not compromised, but honestly, I'm pissed. I always put my tins in the mylar bags as soon as I get them, so I don't have to worry about the seals. Even perfectly sealed tins leak. When I open a bag after I long while there is always a strong tobacco smell. Sometimes I will open a few bags just to sniff the good smell.

Same here, but my obsessive tendencies make me want every bit of seal I can get.
