No one is going to mention the transparent uniforms? I inherited my brother's season tickets to the Pericos de Puebla home games this year if anyone wants to join me.

The billionaire boys club owners decide to cheap out on uniforms, of all things. They have zero understanding of what fans value about the game -- things like tradition and history. We Dodgers fans were already peeved about the fact nobody can have truly white home unis, anymore. The classic, crisp Dodger whites of a thousand years are no more. Poof. All "white" unis are off-white, now. And, yes, apparently made out of tracing paper.

After watching a number of games, I found them to be rather boring. I'll start watching again when the season starts.

After watching a number of games, I found them to be rather boring. I'll start watching again when the season starts. Spring Training games aren't for everybody, for sure. Prospect hounds, fantasy league players, and people who are starving for baseball, mostly. I haven't seen a game, yet, just because I've been busy. I'll watch some next week.

It would be great to watch spring training in person, but you aren't always seeing the best lineup. If you are a big time baseball fan it's one thing, but it's just mild entertainment for me.

My Dodgers technically opened their season a week ago in Korea in a 2-game set against the Padres, but the "real" opener was today. They throttled the Cardinals in a satisfying win.

I almost became a Yankees fan, God help me. My mom was a fan from the old Murderers Row days through the Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris days. She used to get so excited watching them play while we were shelling peas or shucking corn or whatever. She started getting into the Astros, and knew several of them, but I know she kept a Yankee secret in her heart. I was a bit of an Astros fan in the 70s, but they killed it for me.

Watched Astros/Yankees yesterday with son who came in from Houston, wife loves the Yankees. Being from NJ, I was always a Yankees fan. I've been to the old Yankee Stadium a number of times, including a game when I was a boy in the early '60s.
