Here's a big congrats to the Dodgers on a well-played Series! That game was a example of how bad mistakes can bring down the roof when playing against a championship team. Well done Dodgers!

Just found out that Freddie Freeman wasn't just playing on a sprained ankle.
While the Dodgers were waiting for the Wild Card Series to be played, Freddie broke the cartilage on his 6th rib while taking swings in the indoor batting cage at DS. He collapsed to the floor and had to be helped out of the room to get medical attention. Every day since then, he has barely been able to get out of bed. It hurt when he swung and missed. It hurt when he jumped. It hurt when he breathed. A lot of the wincing and gimping around that we all thought was due to his ankle was actually his rib hurting. He played the entire postseason that way. Not only played it, but won the World Series MVP by setting records at the plate. Cripes. |

Offensively the Diamonbacks had a stellar year, but the pitching sucked… key players become free agents, and any hope going forward, they need pitchers that can pitch.
