Congratulations to the Tigers! It just wasn't Houston's year. That game was the first of a best-out-of-three game series. If the Tigers win again tomorrow, it'll then be over for Houston. |

Yup. No place for a nervous person! Watching the 2nd game will be even more nerve wracking. Detroit may be that team that comes into the playoffs on a roll, this year, and goes deep into them. If so, Hinch is a magician. We've got a starting rotation of one, and then comes chaos pitching. |

I think that upon Pete Rose’s passing, it is time they recognized his contributions to the sport in Cooperstown.
And in my opinion, it should not be posthumously… we all make mistakes in our careers, but that should not define us if we operated at that level.

Getting banned from the sport didn't keep Pete from making a nice living off his career for the rest of his life. He did just fine for himself. He doesn't need to get honored in Cooperstown, too. |

To me, the guy broke a major rule, knowing full well what would happen if he got caught, he got caught, it happened, and then he went around being a crank about it for 40 years.
The nearest thing I can see to an argument for letting him in is the fact that MLB has now crawled into bed with the gambling industry in a big way, and that's not so much an argument for Pete as a PR nightmare for MLB.

I don't like this Tigers vs Guardians game...it's Guardians 7-0 at the bottom of the 6th as their hitting has out-matched the Tigers pitching. Okay, the Guardians will take this game, but I want to see the Tigers come roaring back!
