See, everything is settled like adults should, we are old enough to manage any misunderstandings or minor irritations ourselves. We don't really need a moderator if we stay sane. A moderator could have just locked the thread and saved us all some time. |

I think that Ron is right...let's just get over the squabbling because it's not good for us as a community or for us personally. Unfortunately, we live through our perceptions and that can lead to misunderstandings. As for me, I know that I'm guilty of making barbed comments and I regret it. I want to apologize to you, Plainsman and trailboss for my posts regarding the rules of the forum. Although I thought that someone needed to step in and cool off a few flare-ups, I didn't do anything more than alienate you both and make you bitter. I was out of line. We all face our own personal struggles, but we're a community really, a group of friends and colleagues and I respect you all. We are all that we have here and need to pull together in order to make this work, myself included. I've tried to not respond to posts that I've found insulting because I know that doing so taps into that place of anger and anger is the enemy of inner tranquility. I actually do have a very thick skin, not just because I'm from NJ, too, but because I've had my share of tragedy and difficulties. Both my wife and I are having health issues and my wife is suffering badly from her heart disorder. I'm not here for any other reason than to seek shelter from the storm as we all are. Let's continue to be friends and keep this place open as a safe harbor for us as pipe smokers and the good people that we are. |
