Heinrich's Special Curly in the Falcon, with a snappy-looking Hunter bowl. For some reason, I'm really getting the perique tonight; no bad thing, just saying.

I have some of my own blend, (a latakia bomb at that) in a Nording Sailor. The Orange one as earlier. My blend is simple, 1 pound of latakia, a half pound of dark burley and a quarter pound of bright virginia, with a spoonful of anise seed tossed in. I may experiment to see just what I can blend in the near future. I have pondered doing something similar, but with licorice root. I want to do one that is 1/8 Perique, 1/2 Virginia and 3/8 Burley with some licorice root added in. How does the anise seed burn? It must have some oil to it?

I now have a Peterson Donegal Rocky (XL 339) Fishtail, stuffed with Cornell & Diehl Crooner. The pipe looks good but hangs nicely, so clenching is no problem. Beautiful finish to the that pipe. Rugged, yet elegant.

Peter, thanks for buying that beautiful freehand. You helped keep me out of trouble! Don, I hesitated for a few days to give others a chance to buy this unique piece...when it wasn't sold...I said, "enough waiting"...
