I snuff something called Desert Campfire. I’m not sure who makes it (😉), but it’s great and I snuff from early morning until bedtime.
This new batch sounds like my something I would enjoy.
I tried making homemade snuff, once. I pulverized Dark Fired Kentucky and took a toot. I think I did it wrong. I leave it to the pros now !

No, James ... YOU DA' MAN!! scrooge just sent me a couple of vintage snuffs that would be VERY difficult to find ... from the 80's I believe. They are both great, old American Scotch Snuffs from Dental and Bruton. Thanks so much, my friend!!

Glad you're back in business, Josh! This morning, I've been pinching some OSP Shaman's Boon at work. It's got a Grand Marnier and Chocolate combo going that's really great. Sadly, the Brother this was named for passed away a few weeks ago. RIP Joseph ... you're missed.

It is so nice to see some snuff interest on a pipe forum... I love the stuff. Reading through this thread has been adding to my snuff knowledge as well as supporting my own experiences with this wonderful way to ingest tobacco... The Dholakia is by far the stoutest nasal snuff I have tried...but the nic hit is second to none imo...lol

... Wilson's of Sharrow Irish No. 22 has been at the top. There's still A LOT to go. That's a great snuff ... buttery & toasty. If you enjoy that style, definitely grab some F&T HDT (High Dry Toast) at some point ... it's a toss up between those two for best Toast, IMHO. He ain't joking. F&T High Dry Toast. Is. So. Damned. Good.

Roderick Lawrie from Toque Snuff posted this on Facebook, it seems that the people in Brussels are hell bent on squashing them, if Brussels has their way, the snuff business will be gone:
”If Toque were to comply with the EU rules Toque would pay £1,441,440.00 per annum and Marlboro would pay £1,820.00 per annum. I ask you is this fair?
I am writing here for all those who haven't read my posts on Snuffhouse.
I have been told the registration fee has been set at £65 per product, per size, per year. Unlike a cigarette maker, who produces one product, in one pack of 20 and sells millions per day with a registration fee of only £65, we as a small snuff maker make 88 traditional sorts (flavours) in 9 different sizes and have to pay a registration fee of £51,480. Further more we have to pay this in all 28 EU countries that we sell in. That equates to £1,441,440 per year. This figure doesn’t include the bespoke snuffs we make for all our EU customers. If we take our smallest country, Portugal, we would have to pay £51,480 yet I would be surprised if we sold more than £500 there last year.
We knew of the TPD but would not have reacted, as we were told snuff was not going to be included. Fortunately a customer started asking about it and I contacted another snuff company who said they didn’t think we had to do anything. I then found a dept, Competent Authority for EU TPD tobacco, herbal and novel tobacco products, that was/is trying to implement UK compliance. Although we are past the deadline they are giving UK companies a little leeway as it wasn’t well publicised.
We also have to think of the health consequences. According to the Royal College of Physicians smoking related deaths will go up as snuff users, denied a safer alternative, go back to smoking. I really don’t want these people to die and I will fight this tooth and nail.
It feels so wrong that a 350 year old British tradition can be wiped out at the stroke of a Brussels pen. Snuff is a British tradition and has been supplied to the House of Commons and the House of Lords for the last 300 years and will no more. Both Oxford and Cambridge have been supplied snuff for a similar length of time.
I am in talks with the UK Govt and will keep fighting until we win.”

I'm positive that lobbyists with deep pockets from Big Baccy have nothing to do with this. It was surely put to a "VOTE" that was fair, unbiased and unswayed by $$$$ ... surely!

It really goes to show what deep thinkers bureaucrats are....they position themselves as looking out for the welfare and protecting the people...fact is, I suspect they spend more time at the pub with other people's money than they are thinking policies through....there is no clearer example than this nonsense....Marlboro fees vs snuff...

I'm very new to this and I was sniffing snuff off a spoon and every time I did my boss looked at me like what the hell are you doing so I bought a silver bullet with little twist valve on the side and filled it with dental Scotch snuff and I like it but I would also like to try a reasonably priced mint-flavored snuff and don't want to pay a gozillion dollars for shipping any ideas would be much appreciated

Toque is good quality and has at least one mint scented snuff. If that should fail, there are a few online shops that still carry a limited amount, Lil Brown Smoke Shack has Wilson's Spearmint in stock: www.lilbrown.com/c-415-dry-snuff.aspx?pagenum=2Other than that, it's ordering from overseas and they do have a shipping deal right now, free w/ $25 purchase: mrsnuff.com/index.htmlNo current deal on shipping that I see but good prices and selection: www.toquesnuff.com/

Pulled out a comfort snuff for the holidays from McChrystal's called Winter Warmer. It's a dry, fine snuff with hints of dark sugar and spices and goes nicely with the cooler weather.
