I'd like to order some mentholated snuffs for that reason but never had one. WoS Dynamite will clear out your sinuses pretty well. As will L-260. I prefer the Dynamite.

I don't necessarily dislike the mentholated stuff, but it kind of reminds me of living in wintry climates and mentholatum rubs...and the elves get right down nasty when they broke the vicks nasal inhalers and ate the Benzedrine....friggin menthol breath.

There are plenty of really nice meds out there that won’t blow your eyes out of your head. The medicated Bernard’s are really good. As well as the WoS SM snuffs, although one of them, and I can’t remember which, is pretty potent in menthol. The Polche meds aren’t bad either.

When I use Menthol Crystals in one of my own creations, it's usually a small amount. Just a little can almost be "minty" rather than full-on menthol.

Pöschl löwen-prise is by far my favorite mentholated. It hits everything that I like in my other snuffs.

Yeh, having to order it from over seas sucks. The first order I made was a pretty big one because I just started. I ordered a few different big tins and a lot of smaller ones. I was trying to get a feel for what I like. Now that I know, I need to place another order, but I never seem to remember. Maybe after I recoup from Christmas.

Keep an eye on this thread..or set yourself up for email notifications on Mr Snuff, Toque, etc....when Mr. Snuff does the free shipping is a great time to pull the trigger. In the past, I believe it was $29.00 minimum order, but splitting with a buddy stateside if you don't spend that much still puts you way ahead...you can get a lot of snuff in a $5 priority box to forward on. Edit:I just checked my past emails...Mr. Snuff had free shipping on orders over $25.00...ended November 18th, but I wasn't on the lookout, I have plenty. Last year it was through Jan 1st.

Took a hefty pinch of Bernard Magic Moments about an hour ago. When I came outside to light a pipe, the fresh air totally reactivated the snuff, and it smelled as fresh as when I first too it. Heaven!
Anybody ever notice that going out into fresh air after a snuff can bring the flavor bag, and sometimes make it seem even stronger? Some snuffs even take on a completely new smell when you go out side.

I knew about their free shipping last month. I think it was Scrooge who sent me a PM about it. I missed it because I kept forgetting about it. I have enough to pull me through until the next time I've noticed the same about fresh air. It's the same when walking into the bathroom with the shower already hot.

That's a good one … Shaman's Boon is my favorite from Chris, so far, though.

SGM from Scrooge is in my pocket today. It reminds me a lot of Lowen Prise... which is a good thing.

Hmmm this is a very interesting thread.I tried snuff a couple of times in high school.I remember it just being a brown powder that made my eyes water a bit.Reading this thread sounds like there are a good many choices available.....maybe I need to dip a toe in,I would certainly like the nic hit and it would be something quick I could do at work. There really isn't time to enjoy a pipe properly, although I do use my briar pipe occasionally.
I'll ask where is a good place to start? Maybe I should check out a sampler is such a thing is available.

Mrsnuff.com because you cant order it in the US. It takes a little bit of time since its overseas and shipping can be pricey unless you wait for a free shipping special. Darin makes some wonderful snuff as well. Snuff is my nicotine delivery system at work. Take a toot and get right back to work. If you message me your address I can send you some samples of different stuff. I'll include a wide range of what I have.

YEARS ago, when I'd come to visit Maryland, you could buy snuff cans and plug chew right on the shelf in Food Lion. That's since gone away. I used to buy snuff cans, because I liked the labels. I had a blue Navy one, a peach one, and several other I can't remember. I tried the stuff, but I always sneezed like a crazy man, and it would burn my sinuses. Should I assume the OTC snuff is subpar, and there's better stuff out there that isn't like snorting black pepper?
