Man... I've never written down my burger recipe anywhere but everyone that tries it loves it and start asking what's in it. Maybe I should write it here? Oh and the wife made spaghetti with sausage.

Currently, I'm eating Pepperidge Farm Goldfish and drinking Highland Mist Scotch, an inexpensive, but pretty good, blended Scotch whisky.

Alright its only fair to share. 1lb ground beef 1lb ground pork 1/4 each orange, yellow, and red bell pepper 1/2 poblano pepper 1tsp minced garlic 1oz Worcestershire sauce 1oz A-1 sauce Salt and pepper as desired Makes about 10-12 patties depending on size. Recommend muenster cheese and a vinager based bbq sauce for toppings along with lettuce and tomato. Wife likes to add avocado and french's onion strings are a nice crunch.

I am fond of pate foie gras, you know, goose liver pate sometimes also made with duck livers. I am also fond of geese and ducks on their feet and my little feathered friends need their livers. So,, today, I found a vegan "Faux Gras" recipe on Facebook offered up by a French chef in NYC where such things are possible. www.facebook.com/bosh.tv/videos/1648725075205986/UzpfSTEwMjQ3MzcwNTU6MTAyMTE2MDcwMzgxMDQ1ODI/?id=1024737055main ingredients are mushrooms, lentils, walnuts, shallots, garlic, herbs, cognac, soy sauce, beet root puree Looking forward to making this one!

Similar to HP Sauce but not as good. as in hp brown (fruity) sauce It is a brown sauce, but not as sweet or fruity as UK sauces. It is runnier and tangy-spicy. Think Daddie's but if you added a buch more worchestershire and black pepper to it. It is a brown sauce, but not as sweet or fruity as UK sauces. It is runnier and tangy-spicy. Think Daddie's but if you added a lot more worchestershire and black pepper to it. It's great on lower quality cuts of beef or burgers, but HP is way better on chips. I also use HP with breakfast. A-1 would drown out the taste of eggs completely.

I just watched an Elvis documentary, so I made my first ever fried peanut butter and banana sandwich. Excellent! I fried it in kerrygold Irish butter as well, so it was extra rich. Peanuts really take on a meaty character when warm. Very satisfying, if not a bit too much. I'm sure it will be some time before I have another. No wonder Elvis got so fat... That was like having half a cheesecake for lunch.

Like a croque monsieur, but replace the ham and cheese with peanut butter and bananas. Some people add bacon. It's not a common thing in the US either. haha Really only people from a small part of the south eat them. I think it's a Memphis thing. OR people who have just watched an Elvis documentary. haha

(not like it contains hard to find ingredients. haha) I'm actually going through an English craze at the present. I have been making all manner of meat pies and puddings. I even made shepherd's pie recently- Probably will make it again next week. I have some old friends staying for a few days and nothing is better at the end of a long day of drinking than a thick, hot, slab of shepherd's pie.

Best thing for shepherd's pie is to cover it in tomato ketchup.

Try a grilled pb&j and you'll thank me later. Made just like a grilled cheese sandwich, butter the outer sides of the bread and cook til browned on both sides.

Ketchup or other bottled sauce is the only option!

I have two small Round Steaks on hand. They appear suitable for Chicken Fried Steak with White Mushroom and Pepper Gravy. Now, to find that mallet for the pounding.

In a manner of speaking. Elk are plentiful here and taken every Fall. Processed locally, wrapped, frozen and stored in our freezers. Elk tends to be a very lean meat so it is often ground into "mince". Often beef suet or pork fat is added.

Bought 3 ribeyes today an inch and a half thick, pretty sure the butcher cut them 2". One for my dad, one for my 8 year old son and 1 for myself.
So, steak on the grill, mashed potatoes and sweet corn. Wish i would have got a picture, but its already in my stomach.
Time to decide on an after dinner bowl.

Home-made meatball pizza. The crust was wonderfully crispy but the meatballs were a little over cooked in the end.

Quick snack of Cream Cheese and Bagels.* * my Dollar Tree store, uncharacteristically, had name brand breads, so stocked up on English Muffins, Bagels and Sourdough French bread. Saved around %70. ** grocery had big sale and my total there was $34.00 and saved $36.50 in discounts. *** naturally with this windfall, a PAD and TAD was in order (and/or: justified). ****

Had a Gyros plate, the best calamari I have ever had and a Greek coffee. Now eating Nebraska made kettle corn.
