Haven’t had broccoli slaw in years, now you gave me a craving, which I don’t get often. Will be making broccoli slaw in the very near future 👍 Your dressing sounds delicious!

Tonight was a fast gourmet dinner.....lol
Boston Market frozen turkey medallions and mashed potatoes with carrots and green beans. Actually pretty good for a frozen dinner. How do some people eat those Banquet frozen dinners??? ( “ gag me with a spoon “) yet another phrase that’s NOT used that often anymore. I don’t cook that much any more nor do I eat with the family here, once in a while on a Sunday or a holiday I eat with my son and family. Here’s that “ famous infamous phrase “ I hear so often here so I must use it....” it is what it is “! 👌👍

Baked red potato with butter, salt, pepper, drizzled with creamy Italian Dressing along with cherry tomatoes quartered and sprinkled with salt sauce and fresh cracked black pepper. Iced tea is my beverage.

Thin sliced chicken breast seasoned with orange adobo spice blend, garlic powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika and the ever present salt and pepper. Served piping hot in a corn tortilla with cilantro, queso fresco, acidified cream and fresh squeezed lime juice. Pickled jalapenos on the side to add the needed heat. Man what a good meal and only 15 mins cook time.

Handy when I do not feel like cooking.

Leftover Tico Tacos.... they taste just as crappy as they did last night.
It amazes me what will pass for Mexican food in places like Wichita!

One buttermilk donut and a small sausage and cheese kolache with a Duncan Donuts iced expresso. Wife went in for her coffee on the way to work and her battery died.

Here I am again with frozen foods...but this is a brand I HIGHLY recommend....
Jimmy Dean’s Breakfast Bowl, right now enjoying the Meat Lovers....scrambled egg, sausage, bacon and a high quality chopped potato and topped with cheese. Look for one on sale and give it a try, I think you’ll be amazed of the quality for around $2.50, more than fills me up👌👍👍

It's cold and rainy where I am, so I made some hamhock/bacon and bean soup. Simmered the hamhocks for 2 hours in low sodium chicken broth with half an onion, celery stalk, carrot, some fresh thyme, peppercorns, and a few bay leaves. Strained that, sauteed the bacon, added chopped aromatics (not tobacco) and sweated that for a few mins. Chopped the meat from the hamhocks, added that, then added the hamhock broth back in. Then six cans of drained various beans. Let that cook for another hour and a half, and mashed some of the beans to thicken it. Big load of crusty bread. I'm full.

Italian sausage and pasta in Garlic wine sauce, from Costco in fresh prepared meals.... excellent, and I couldn’t make it from scratch for the price paid. Followed by an It's-it Ice cream sandwich from San Francisco...these things are phenomenal. Graham cookies sandwich with Vanilla Ice cream inside dipped in chocolate, they have the mint ice cream version also that is like the thin mint cookies on steroids.
