A scratch buttermilk biscuit from two days ago. While not as good as directly from the oven, they hold up well and it is still flaky.

I made a big pot of posole verde last night with chicken instead of pork. It came out pretty good and I am about to eat a bowl now before heading out to a friend's birthday party.

Posole Verde with Chicken sounds very good.
For me, more beef curry utilizing, that is right, my home made beef stew. Korean Ottani Spicy Curry jazzed it up for me. Good!

Spicy burger with avocado and fresh jalapenos at Chili's and just had a Larabar Coconut Cream bar. Larabar uses dates as its only sweetener. Kroger had no green meat but I caved anyway and bought ribeyes and another 3 bone prime rib and numerous other nice cuts. If you have been to China Town in San Francisco they sell these wonderful wooden puzzle's and once you take the apart they never go back together. That's what my freezer looks like tight now. Stopped at another curious store and purchased olive oil and vinegar. I have a thing for Greek olive oil first press. www.larabar.com/

I have had some good oil from Spain, Turkey. Morocco. Mostly, I buy California Olive Ranch "Destination" oil which is from the Med area. They are scrupulous about authenticity which I appreciate. There have been so many OO scandals over the years.

"Jimmy Dean" does a good job with breakfast sausage. I found their "Natural" sausage, without sodium nitrates and nitrites. It is very tasty and does not last long enough to need much preservative other than table salt.

Thinking about a fried pork chop, baked taters and steamed brussels sprouts.
Thinking about making lentil soup with andouille sausage. Real andouille from Louisiana, praise the Lord.

Three rib prime rib made in the oven the slow way with a sweet potato for me and a baking potato for momma. Nothing nada zilch thing needed except a drink to wash it down with. Stay tuned as we slow smoke the next one for Christmas with pure Oak charcoal and Mesquite on the next episode of Eatin Good In The Hood.

There is nothing better, and I mean no-thing, than a slow cooked Prime Rib Roast. It has been a long time since I have even seen one in these parts. We do not get meat like that in Toad County, NM.

most likely near brunch time before we get to it. Usual Sunday mix of 4 lg eggs, mangled lo-sodium ham slices, shred x-sharp cheddar, sides of English Muffins. Two platefuls of mess is filling.

Some decent crusty French bread with Calabrese and Milano Salamis and Provolene cheese, open face with just a couple of slices of each. Black coffee made in the enameled pot with a square of Hershey's Dark Chocolate for added flavor.
