In about 30 minutes it’s time for a Boston Market frozen turkey medallions with mashed potatoes and a carrot & string bean medley. Darn good frozen dinners👍👍👍

CFS reminds me of Schnitzel, either Weiner or Jaeger. Since central and west Texas was settled by German immigrants, kind of figures that this dish would follow. Thin beef steak instead of veal or pork cutlet, sometimes pounded, dusted with flour, then washed with egg and battered. Fried in an iron pan. I prefer mine with a fried egg on top and served with sliced lemon- Holstein Style. That white gravy is reserved for the mashed taters. I have trouble explaining this to some Servers in Texas restaurants unless they are of German extraction and then they get it. At my restaurant, on Sundays, we served CFS. Our steak was a Ribeye. We drew a heap O'Texans down from Red River on Sundays and folks from far into southern Colorado. Best damn CFS in the State of NM. Yeah, but red or green? 🤠😉😎 CFS is served with bland white gravy in much of West Texas. I always carried a tiny bottle of Tabasco Sauce in my coat pocket and dabbed a few drops onto the white gravy. That always raised eyebrows but what I can say? In NM, Green, I think.

One of my favorites. It seems that with the onion, garlic, celery, carrot and what have you, this ends up Tri-Tip Stew. Perhaps more discipline and less, eh, "creativity" is indicated. LOL!

Had a light lunch of dolmades and hummus with a couple of deviled eggs. We were hungry, but had an appointment in 35 minutes. Though we were going to have Miller's hamburgers but had to rush to get to another doctor unexpectedly. So now we are in the waiting room and starving. unexpectedly? I hope all is OK. I had a dirty kebab last night. It was so good.

Sounds good. Lamb Gyro. I have not had one for a while. Quite good with the authentic Greek sauce I make, plenty of thinly sliced Vidalia onions. ‘Twas a good treat👍

There's a lot of summer fruit coming in, and the prices are hard to beat, so we've been eating a lot of fruit salads lately. This one wasn't all that fancy, just a mix of cantaloup, mango, apple, pear, and banana with some peach yoghurt as a topping. And it was de-licious, let me tell you, but it was a little more than we could eat in one sitting, so today I am trying to polish off the leftovers.

It’s time for you to make vegetable Omelette‘s and fruit of your choice on the side.
