When I have done some work then I will be having a hunk of that wonderful boudin warmed up with light pumpernickel bread...maybe more grits. Ted...that pecan apple butter sounds great...bought in a regular supermarket? Walt.....your drinking way to much prune juice!! βTwas not me that had the pecan apple butter......you must be $h/&%ing your brains out....π€ͺππ€ͺππππ.

Carne Asada Plato at the Tacqueria in town.
That is a thin cut ribeye, grilled, smothered in green onions. Served with sour cream, guacamole, rice and refried beans. A pile of freshly made corn tortillas, grilled jalapenos, lime wedges.
It is good to be a New Mexican...

I have eaten carne asada all across Mexico. We have a few places in Texas that do it right now. I can't wait to finish getting my teeth fixed. Had some excellent fajitas yesterday at the old companies September birthday lunch.

I'm assuming there's a Dunkin Donuts shop near you, or do you buy their roasted beans to make at home?

Making a pot of cabbage and lentil soup with home made chicken stock.
Two nice T-Bones in the refer. That ought to last four days.
Starting to watch the calories for weight loss. It is time. My MD is disgusted with me and refuses to see me, leaving me to the mercy of his Nurse PA. He is an old guy without pity. His last words were, "There are old men and there are fat men but there are no old, fat men." 310-316 pounds now on a 6'2" carcass. Need to reach at least 250, 220 would be better. 200 is ideal but not realistic.
I will eliminate much of the good bad stuff- sweets, chips, fries, rice, noodles, potatoes, tortillas, salad dressings. Sniff....
Down to one slice of dry WW toast in the morning. Will cut down to one poached egg. Cottage cheese for a snack. Maybe part of an apple. My donkey gets the rest. He expects it and makes his demands known.
Also, down to ONE Martini in the evening and no after dinner drinking! That will be hard as I am used to more but it is not needed. A glass of stout may be substituted.
I want to eventually look like this guy who is something of a hero to me:

We usually go up every year to Blueridge GA called Mercier Orchards, amazing cider and bakery items as well as Fry Pies. The list could go on everything they have is great. Eat healthier, eat less carbs and flour, you can achieve your goal at your paceππ I had a Dr tell me β smoking a pipe can still kill you , you need to quit β! When I went back to my car guess who was towards the back of the building smoking a cigarette.....you guessed it...my NOW ex-schmuck Dr!!

Thanks, Ben...Ted, That may be the problem!! Just finished the last of the seafood gumbo that we brought back from Ralph and Kacoo's Restaurant on Dauphin Island, Al. It is only about 4 hrs from my home...wife said...we can make it an overnight trip and not stress out our baby girl (chihuahua).
