Home-made seasoned chips with cheese and mayonnaise. mmmmm French fries with mayonnaise!?? I am about to reject my Orange heritage. Belgique on my father's side. I disavow any connection to pomme frite and mayonnaise. ---------- Chicken and shrimp coconut curry on jasmine rice. Broke my low carb vow for this.

Just finished up my usual "STAT" breakfast at work ... Scrambled eggs, sausage and hash-browns. Suck down a little coffee and get back to it!

Pinto beans, corn bread, fried potatoes an greens an a big sliced onion. James, we could definitely do dinner together! Maybe a nice smoke of some Cotton Boll Twist after a meal like that?

Tonight I made a ragu of diced flank steak and cippolini onion. Served this with rice made in the pressure cooker and roasted broccoli.

Chicken piccatta with a romaine salad and green beans. Man this stuff was tasty and the pan sauce made from deglazing the pan made it amazing. I think putting this over a bed of angel hair with a butter garlic sauce or a good white sauce would be outstanding.

had some good veggies for a salad, but no dressing, so substituted Sour Cream. It was fine and I'll likely do so again.

Hogs-head cheese torta. The guy added yellow cheese and I'm approaching the thing gingerly hoping it doesn't set off warning bells.

...I eat 1 meal a day... today, it was a grilled chicken taco salad from a restaurant on the San Francisco Bay, about 2 minutes away from my place.

Any Peanut Butter & Banana sandwich fans on board? I make mine toasted, but once in awhile will pan fry one in butter ala Elvis.

Today I had a Fray Bentos steak and ale pie shipped all the way from jolly ol' England. I'm an admitted Anglophile, so I waste a lot of money importing everything from Monster Munch to Branston Pickle. Anyway, give these pies a shot. They come in a huge flat tin which goes straight into the oven once you've removed the top. Imagine a rich beefy pot pie, albeit with a huge, light, flaky pastry crust instead of the dense shortbread style crust we're used to in America. Nice, cheap dinner. I served it up with some peas and taters. Canned meat pies: Just one more thing those hobbits do better than Americans.

I'm sure it's not as good but I miss the greasy greasy steak and kidney Pukka pies you get at the football stadiums there.
