Anything tied into AT&T is an absolute nightmare. Another busy day today. I got off work and ran to my dads and installed more flooring. Right when I got home I had to run to Lowes to get some drywall anchors. I got some more stuff done around here, babies are now asleep and it's time for a pipe. I'm not even sure if I ate dinner tonight. I need to find time to jar up 4 more pounds of tobacco Helluva problem to have.

Replaced the battery in my Motorola phone cost eleven dollars and about 45 mins seems they built the phone around the battery. Looks like rain smells like rain but no rain yet. Need new rear tires on truck probably put back BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2 as they have lasted 80000 miles and are still ok but I like to change tires before they are used up. I will not be purchasing them from well known tire store that has the name discount in their name. I have my reasons and my own proof they do sell first tires. Have a happy or as close to it as you can get.

Had a 2 hr session with AT&T to drop phone internet service as I am on cable internet now, I’ve survived war, been blown out of a control room that was demolished, trapped 4 stories up on a tower by a very bad fire, and this was really the most frustrating thing ever, maybe it’s because I’m an old 💩, can’t take much of this anymore.

Have a happy or as close to it as you can get. Those BFG ATs are the best truck tires. After the terrible Goodyear tires that came on my truck were worn enough, I bought a set of BFGs from DT. they were great except that my gas mileage dropped 20%. I drove on them about 10k miles then swapped to Michelin ATs that were "Low Rolling Resistance", like the factory tires. They didn't improve the mileage one little bit over the "E" rated BFGs. An expensive mistake. I am satisfied with them though. "first tires"?

I like those Michelin ATs also for my little S-10...get great mileage and better yet they perform really good in the rain. When you are doing 80-85 mph on the Interstate you don't need to be hydroplaning as an added feature.

Momma just got home she said it rained by her work but we only had a sprinkle or two out here on the lake. CNN is claiming Imelda is the next Harvey they must also write global warming stuff as well.

Twins + an 18 month old = a lot of work and very little sleep.
But I love em and it's worth every minute

Since we are on about incompetent nittwittery, may I introduce you to Apria Healthcare, provider of death to many. Well, it seems that way. Tying to get an oxygen concentrator out of them for the past month. Three times my MD has provided them with forms, documents, reports. Still trying to get there. Despite being headquartered in Lake Forest, California and being owned by Blackstone Capital of New York, I am only allowed to converse with their staff in the Philippines. Nice enough people but not really on top of their game since they cannot make anything out of the papers faxed to them. Thus, we re-send to their "Oxygen Team, Escalation Department". Very hard to follow up with people who cannot be reached.

The problem with kids is it more fun making them than raising them.

Momma called and said she is coming home I suppose Houston is starting to flood from the tropical storm. Up here on the lake it is rather calm but the lake has risen over night so there must be light flooding to the north. I prefer to keep the TV off during the day but should probably watch the noon news. I see my green lizard out the window climbing on the shade sail he has grown fat over the summer. We have almost no spiders under the RV slide outs that lizard sure earns it keep.

That's frustrating. I hope they get it resolved quickly for your own good.

I suppose the storm hammered the Texas coast with some places getting eight inches of rain. Of course there was flooding and lots of shots of people cleaning out the drain gutters with shovels. Despite billions of dollars being spent on flood control the best they got is clean your drain gutters in the street as that is what is causing the flooding. Even after Harvey and its 40 inches of rain there appear to be lots of slow learners running the show on how flood control works. By the way when we built Green Valley NV we made a bigger ditch than anything in the Houston area and that's in the desert. Rant over.

I used to play games on my PC, Xbox and PS. Then I moved to the back woods and didnt have internet. Just moved, so 2 more weeks without TV... which I really dont watch anyway. I'm just boring.
I currently don't have time for leisurely activities... I blame that on other leisurely activities 😂😂

Well, I thought we had dodged a bullet with the tropical storm, but it has decided to park over the house. Raining here at 2+ inches per hour. Constant lightning. No chance of flooding at our house but some surrounding homes are going to see a repeat of Harvey. East of town waves are washing over I-10. Evacuating Liberty County.

I59 is closed southbound in Cleveland Tx and Winnie is floating. I am waiting for Lake Conroe to fill back up so we can unleash it on the San Jacinto river and flood out who ever does not get flooded. See rant above for Harris County Flood Control. The storm should be in Louisiana by the end of the day after that let the afternoon pop up showers begin. They just showed a redneck in his underwear and torn t-shirt wearing rubber boots things you can only see in the south.

In a strange inversion, the sun is splitting the trees over here, and has been all week and will be until Sunday.

oldcajun123, I hate to see that. If our house was on a slab we would be flooded. The water is up to the rims on my truck in the driveway. We are at the top of the hill and I don't think it's possible for the water to get any higher in less than 40 days and nights.
