Had a very nice dinner.
Started with a Buliett old fashioned, then an appetizer of tomato, roasted peppers, grilled portobello and fresh mozzarella.
The wife had lobster ravioli with shrimp and clams fra diavolo and I had the swordfish and shrimp over mixed vegetables. Enjoyed a bottle of 2017 Mark West Pinot Noir with it. Nice evening and a wonderful staff that served us.

Been trying to get some of the garage cleaned up and succesfully found the top of my work bench and trying to find the floor. When the frost melts off will have to get out and clean the leaves up in the yard and hopefully mow for the last time.

Haven't been on much. I took a job through the winter at a local lumber yard to get through the winter putting together lumber packs for contractors 10 hours a day, and I'm about 10 years too old for it. I get it done, but I get home at 5 exhausted, shower and eat, play with the grandbabies for a bit and in bed by 8:00.
I smoke my pipe on my forklift (I work outside). There is an official policy against it I guess, but they've apparently decided to leave the woolie, old cowboy and his pipe alone. I'll just quit my job if they push it, and they don't want me to quit. I mostly smoke my own Big Woolie blend in a Devil Anse, it's easiest to clench.
The other guys on the yard love my pipe, and I think would get up in arms if the office pushed the issue. 😊

I am still trying to recover from spending the last 30 years in an office chair.

I am still trying to recover from spending the last 30 years in an office chair. Thank you, Sir. You're right, it could definitely be worse. I'm probably not in bad shape for my age. Except for arthritis in the hands, it's mostly just sore and tired muscles from honest, hard work. And I surely do sleep good.

Duane you have paid your dues in so many ways, they are probably just glad to have a good worker who does his job and doesn't create problems...and as you said, you don't need the job...a rarity these days.
Just sitting around the house today...raining quite a lot...tropical depression is sitting on top of us (Josh and me) but we need the rain...so let it rain on!!

Got the yard cleaned up and all the outdoor furniture put away. Fired up the snowblower and mounted the blade on the tractor and have the salt buckets filled. I'm ready for winter, not in a hurry for it but ready.

On the way out the door to the memorial service for a fellow member of our MC, I got a text that our nephew Frankie was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Leakey, TX. Airlifted to San Antonio. Last word is that his leg is smashed to pieces but no word on other injuries. Please pray for him. He is a good man. Music and youth minister, prison ministry and youth counselor.

I will pray for Frankie, based on his career path he has a lot of support and genuine people offering up the same.

Still don't know how it happened. I have been there dozens of times and there are motorcycles everywhere.

I recently purchased this for my shop. Reminds me of Frog Morton. I have one tin left - Frog Morton on the Bayou. My favorite was Frog Morton on the Town.

Just got an update on Frankie :
"We are here he is awake right now. Has a lot of stitches in his face. His leg is basically mangled from the knee down and some toes are ground off. Surgery is tomorrow sometime. They are taking more x- rays right now. Car came into their lane and hit head on. He saw it coming and was nearly stopped. Will update tomorrow."

Wow, that must have been quite a harrowing experience for Frankie, I am sure it happened in slow motion, seeing what was headed this way, it sounds like the impact must have been hellacious.
