The remedy for getting upset by stuff on Facebook is to stay off of Facebook.

What do you mean "...slightest perceived slight"!!!!!! He/She/It offended ME!!!! Some people need a different hobby or should take up pipe smoking. Exactly! Now get off my lawn!

My old computer, a Dell Optiplex 330, has been running slower and slower over these past months. Now it locks up every few minutes and I wait while it catches its breath. Probably will fail one of these days. It is a toss up as to which will survive the other- machine or operator???
If I am not present for a while it may be because my computer finally went dark. So, please do not assume the worst. Don't let it be too long, Tosh.

My wife's new tablet has better specs than that Dell 330. Treat yourself to something nice and get a new monitor while you are at it. Then the first time you use it prepare for shock and awe not seen since the first time we bombed Iraq. If you order it now the pack mules can have it to you before Christmas.

My computer monitor is a fairly new Acer flat screen LED. It is the computer which is aged. Not sure how it will be replaced.

The remedy for getting upset by stuff on Facebook is to stay off of Facebook. I didn't have it for years. I recently reactivated it, deleted everyone except my family, never post anything, and very rarely even open it. The last 2 times I've logged on, I've had to have my PW reset. 'Twas a busy day. Woke up after little sleep, went to work, went with my wife to the dr., took my little guy (1yr 7months) to get his flu shot (he disnt cry, flinch, or shed a tear), ran to Walts to exchange some tobacco, picked up meds and then finally made it back home around 9. Time for a huge bowl of cereal and then bed.

things have quieted down, mostly, on Facebook. it's bad when it's two friends at odds, you are afraid to do or say anything for being accused of taking sides. it's just a personal misunderstanding, but emotions run high and at times run amok. So, still laying low for awhile, lol. Too many people are way too edgy these days, ready to rant and rave at the slightest perceived slight. People, often myself included, need to relax and chill out. Hey, maybe they should smoke a pipe? I love the irony there.

First snow of the season.

Sean...sorry to hear that...seriously, what is the prognosis?
Just finished putting up the 2#'s of tobacco that I got from brother Josh yesterday...now heading for the porch in an overcast day. 72° and mild here in central north Florida.

Walt. Despite being low carb and mindful of what I eat my last aic was 10.1 with insulin. So we will see what comes back this time. I have been seeing a endocrinologist as well as my regular doc. I told my regular doc today I will not go back to the same endocrinologist. I also have Alpha One/Parkinsons so that just screws up everything metabolism wise. I take a lot of meds and most of those raise blood sugar. Other than that I feel fine and just do the best I can. The leg is healing fine just slow. I could complain but nobody likes sad songs. Ok rant over.

Walt I am glad you are enjoying your new pipe. Pipe smoking really helps calm one down and I believe helps with pain a nice little escape.

Takes about 9 minutes to log on.
I tried a different browser and could not get through all the barricades Thebriarpatchforum.com has set.
I am using Mozilla Firefox. The problem is it crashes frequently. I could not get through using another browser AVG "installed" on my behalf.
Anyway, I do not know how long this will hold together.

went down to one of my neighbors in the condos to look at her new TV setup to see what she needed to get audio to come out of the speakers. Went to the foot doctor to try on my new shoes which I get every year but they didn't look very good so we are going to try another pair. Went out with my son's family for Mexican tonight. That's it.

Back to the room from the hospital. Frankie slept almost all day. Woke up long enough to be bathed and take a dump. These are good signs. The few moments he was alert he seemed to be getting back to himself. No pipe on this trip. No cigar for Frankie so it's only fair.

Heavy rain in S LA this morning, son leaves for hospital work at 5:30 am, got up and offered my truck, his little Lexas no match for flooding streets. Went back to bed.
