I just got off the phone with a lawyer. I will be having a meeting at their office Friday. What a F#@*NG pain in the arse. Why is arse better than a$$? Back really started hurting yesterday morning at the oncologists office with the wife, and by the time we got home from the hospice I couldn't stand up straight. Didn't sleep much last night even with the tramadol and the muscle relaxer. Sounds like nerves are playing a apart in your pain Ron, mine does the same so I try to stay calm and not let things bother me too much. Easy to say I know, especially for me, I have a bad temper and want to strangle the annoying individual etc. but, I try to keep things in perspective most the time knowing I'll pay for my digressions.

Went to the foot doctor and picked up my annual new pair of shoes, and I got deck/boat shoes this time, lots more stylish, if you can get past the person using the walker that is wearing them. I hate being seen using a walker. I feel the same way sir, your not alone. Although I don't use one..........yet, I may have to later on. Its embarrassing to say the least and I swore I'd drag myself along the ground before ever using one. Strange I don't feel the same way of others using them, I just figure they need them and that's it but, for me to have one is just unconscionable. Reckon our pride gets in the way sometimes.

I just got a call from the other drivers insurance company saying that there's some questions about her coverage. The have a reputation for saying that the coverage ended just before the accident. The rep explained to me that they aren't like other insurance companies and sell to people who don't know if they can afford insurance or put food on the table. I told her that after the vicious, negligent attack I suffered, I didn't care if she had a place to live. She was reckless in the extreme. I want to subpoena her cell phone. I am sure she was looking at it instead of where she was going. So, no, I can't relax and my nerves are shot. I will f'n haunt her for the rest of her life.

Snow this morning. I was not sure it was still possible what with climate change and the weather patterns displacing storms around this valley. It is much too warm and the snow will likely change to rain and melt away. So, I enjoy it while I can.

Wife has the worst hemiplegic migraine I've seen so far. She can hardly walk. I'm quite concerned.
She's away to bed at 6:30pm. I sure hope things are different in the morning. 😟
I hate the fact that my wife works as a nurse. She tells me stories about people coming in with something like a sore finger and then they end up dying. Makes it hard to put other illnesses into perspective.

Sorry, you have to go through this crap, Ron...should have simply shot her on the spot and dropped a piece in her car...claim she was threatening you.

Thank you, pepesdad1 and oldcajun123. It's torture watching someone you love go through something over which you have no control.

Ron, I am unclear why YOUR insurance company is not pursuing the other driver's insurance company. They are better at that than most of us. Are you not putting in a claim with your own company?

Or I get the shakes were my knees clack together. But I don't care as I refuse to ostracize myself from society and keep on keeping on. My aunt Cricket had polo as a child she would say I cant do things like you do but I can still do things just different and then she would smile. So enjoy those new topsiders and use that walker if you need to and remember Crickets wise words.

My son gets a couple bad ones a year and even though he's 23 it still sucks watching him in pain.

I use a cane and keep it in my truck. When my knee goes out or my leg starts up again, it helps maintain stability. It is a one inch diameter "Hog Cane", made from some hardwood, not oak or hickory, maybe ash. It is tall. In addition to keeping me upright, I noticed that the parking lot riff raff lurking about to beg and cajole gives me a wide berth. I tire of the endless hustle.

While trying to restrain myself from my usual ranting, I agree wholeheartedly sir and anyone that does anything wrong should have the guts to take whats coming to them for it no matter what the circumstances may be. I'm not happy about having it either but, when I've had to walk through malls or airports it sure helps..........when I'm not tripping over the dang thing. Thank GOD for shopping carts at the grocery store, there like a walker but, no one knows.

I wish you were, too, Sean....We'd have plenty of tobacco to go through...got about 85 blends in jars waiting to be used. Usually only company I get is when Josh is able to come down...would be great to have both of you together for a smoke or several.

We had a family friend die this morning. I haven't seen him in years. He was actually my brother's good high school friend. He's was 41, and died of renal failure from alcohol. Having survived the demon alcohol, this is just absolutely tragic. He was really good guy, big heart, would give you the shirt off his back. sorry for your loss!

I have been keeping a cane in the truck for the past 12 years. The last couple of years I haven't needed it since I lost the 30 pounds and started moving around more. Until this week. 😣👹 I needed it today when I went to talk to the lawyer, but I forgot it in the truck. At least I looked the part as I walked in the office. 😜 I like the lawyer. Young guy who had my late friend as a professor in law school. I signed the papers and he spent 2 hours talking me through how things work. I go to the pain management center tomorrow, (I don't actually have to take them), then the chiropractor who treats James Hardin. 😁👍. The insurance offered me 12700 for my truck. Lawyer said that I should take it and we will make it up on the injury claim. At least I don't have to fake it, but I sure hope it's fixable. Otherwise, no more walking, hiking, fixing up the shop, etc. I will have to get into soaps. Maybe I will practice my Spanish and watch the telenovelas.

I do hate to use it though. Right now it's keeping me from falling down.

Now everyone is making soap, but it's the melt and pour. We made ours from scratch, because hubby likes playing chemist.
