So my wife got a call last night, our daughter is in the hospital in North Carolina after getting tboned by another car. Nothing broken but she is in pain and very scared as she just started a new job and bought her first house last week (she’s 26). I’m hoping for a quick recovery and once she is a little less frazzled will give some advice as to how to manage the situation. Really crappy thing to have happen, I wish I was closer and able to do more

don't knock soapmaking! we thoroughly enjoyed making soap when we lived in PA, and did pretty well at it, but didn't transition so well to WV, they are 20 years behind everyone else, so we were ahead of our time. Now everyone is making soap, but it's the melt and pour. We made ours from scratch, because hubby likes playing chemist. Not that kind of soap! 😁😈🤠 hmmmm

i went out to hubby's office a little after lunch time. he finished up his paperwork and then started back on the print job. while he was doing the paperwork i sorted out the first books pages his supervisor had printed off (not shifted so you couldn't tell where each book ended -- he seems to make the jobs he leaves for hubby as difficult as he can) so with those ten books separated, we got to work binding them. hubby would punch the holes in the pages (electric paper punch) and then i would put the pages on the comb spine. i am no stranger to this kind of book making, lol. so, hubby only worked over 1 1/2 hours this evening, but we got the 100 manuals bound and he doesn't have to work on saturday. hurray!

Been 2 weeks since fall #32, shoulder still hurting, so I have to get a MRI on the 30th of November.
Went to the cigar shop tonite as they had a big Thanksgiving meal, turkey, duck, ham, lots of great food, I had a cigar that I got 3 hours out of.

I am starting to feel left out being the only one not needing a MRI and or pain meds. My leg is almost healed up only two smaller sores left to heal up. So heal up fast the Holidays are ahead.

I park at the back reaches of most lots. I need the exercise anyway and it reduces door dings on my truck. I have been doing that until this week. Look what all the trouble to avoid dings got me. And all that synthetic oil. After seeing the pics of your truck and being a fellow Ram owner I have to admit they made me sick to my stomach. I really hope they nail the moron who did this for what they're worth.

Brother, Ronv69, I'm so glad you are not worse than you are. I'm just glad you were in such a vehicle. If it was my tiny kia Picanto I fear there would be nothing left. And, Scott W... I feel for you too. Not being close to loved ones (especially your own children) when they need you is hard to fathom. I hope she's ok and pulls through from the shock quickly. I'm glad she has you as her dad.

Thank you everyone. I just spoke with her, said she’s feeling very rough this morning. We bought some food at the local Walmart for her and her friend was going to pick it up so she can stay home and rest.

Ron69, looking at the photos of your RAM ,I just glad you're still with us, and well enough to post ...very sorry for all the pain tho. As another RAM owner ,I'm wondering if the insurance co will let you have the rear tires...somebody is going to get them, just a "tight-wad" moment, but you had a nice ,well cared for truck; you should be able to keep something... Not very likely , but I'd still ask, as it may ,at least, add to your settlement. Good luck ,and feel better soon!

They reduced the payout by $800 because I wanted the camper that I just paid 2700 for with installation and options. They are giving me 12,373 for the truck. The insurance companies have a conspiracy to hold down the payouts and use junk vehicles as comparables to vehicles in perfect condition. The lawyer said that if I fought it, I might get another 500 dollars. Anything that is bolted on will reduce the payout. When the settlement is final sometime next year. I will get a set of BFG Radial ATs. They actually drive better than the Michelins.

Ron, I feel for you, buddy...Insurance co. just screw you right and left and every time! Hope it all works out to your desired end.

These things come out of nowhere, which is part of the problem. It always so shock. Only time can heal the mind and body. She is fortunate you are looking after her.

Ron, there is one upside and that is no bloody spiderweb impact zone in the windshield. The air bags apparently worked to keep your onery self with us here on the Patch.

I've paid more for insurance for my car in the last year and a half than it is worth.

Pictures or it didn’t happen. Man, I am tired and hurting. Look at the last pictures. Imagine it's a quad cab and has a front end. I will post new pics in a few days.

I've been walking every day for the past 3 months. It's become part of my daily routine. I've worked myself up to over a mile a day.I'm trying to lose some weight and get in better condition in my old age. Today it rained all day so I didn't walk.In A strange way I feel like I let myself down..It is what it is though..Besides at the end of my road there's a small park. There's a squirrel that hangs out there.I leave him some dry roasted peanuts every day.He didn't get them today. He's probably not real happy about that.
