Went and hauled hay today. 75lb square bales of alfalfa are heavier than I remember. Sure am glad I keep feeding this 18 year old son of mine. I keep him around for days just like this. I ought to sleep pretty good tonight.

We had almost 30 neighbors in today for a pot luck Christmas party..It went really well..There was lots of food. Most of it wasn't on my diet.It really hurt my feelings that I had to pass on the carrot cake.. My wife went to bed early. How wonderful you all got together like that. Sorry about the cake.

I ought to sleep pretty good tonight. I hated my neighbor who used to set his baler at 75 to 90 pounds. I prefer 55 pound bales. Glad your son is with you!

Went to my niece's ranch in Chappell Hill today, about 2.5 dozen adults and a dozen kids. My great, great, and great great great neices and nephews. Nice day. Had turkey, ham, dressing, deviled eggs, celery with pimento cheese, seasoned green beans, mac and cheese, broccoli and rice casserole, pineapple chunks, cranberry sauce, pecan pie, chocolate buttermilk pie, pickled okra, and gravy. 😜😁🤠

My ex-wife's family gathers in a similar way and I always enjoyed it.

Three inches of fresh snow overnight. Not much but it helps.

why does more snow help? Winter and spring snow pack in the mountains means sufficient run off during Spring and Summer for farming to continue as well as riparian vegetation making the area green. This is a high desert which depends upon rrigation.

I hope the snow flies after I roll through next week.. headed to Gallup, Farmington, Shiprock, Espanola, Santa Fe, ABQ... hope to make it to Espanola on Tuesday night, pretty late.

One of my favorite restaurants in Espanola is Paragua. Excellent Carne Adovada served with a great posole. Good Margaritas, too. Nice old building. Friendly people. Might be too late when you arrive?

Still snowing. We might have received six to eight inches but so warm it is melting too fast. About four inches of accumulation. Hard to believe in the middle of December!

Quite warm in SE Texas today. Taking it easy as the old back has been complaining. Watching a special on Scotch Whisky while sipping the same.

Snow on and off all day. Right at about 31 degrees so not much more is accumulating. We have about four to five inches on the ground.
Wood stove a blazing. I am sipping an early measure of Jim Beam Devil's Cut. Just the thing now.

I am travelling with a trainer, so he calls the shots...it is anyone's guess where we end up...in El Paso he booked us rooms at a hotel with only a Subway in a gas station for dinner next door or call out for service. The dude has no plan and flies by the seat of his pants with predictable results...I will be glad when I am on my own.

Well for a small fee you could make him just disappear in El Paso. Happens every day! 84 at HICA airport today so the AC is running never got above 77 here on the lake. Remember last week when Brad and myself and Ron were wearing light coats. One has to hang many hats and coats by the door in the Gulf Coast.

Checking in on the forum while Michael Bloomberg is carpetbombing Arizona with his billions telling us how he wants to control our trans-fats, soda’s and how he is going to destroy tobacco for the sake of all of us nicotene addicts.
The wife looks over at me and says “What is so important that you are on your phone?”
I asked her “What is so important that you want to watch this friggin idiot?”
Sad that an ethic Jew, sides with others in history that have a desire to subjugate and control.
I say all of this because the carpetbombed commercials came on during 60 minutes where a segment is on about the music that came from the victims of Auschwitz.

Well if you can get him to El Paso.... I might be able to drop him off at Rose’s Cantina and introduce him to Felina..

That sounds like something that Beto would do. I'm still waiting for him to get to my house. No wonder if he's locked up in Rosa's.

My feelings are obvious, but we had better change the subject before the Chronicle gets locked.

I would go insane without the Tivo. We don't watch anything that isn't recorded.
