@ll That is a beautiful view! Hope you never tire of that! Z like everything, we get complacent and take it for granted. It's good to be reminded once in a while.

75 degrees is about where I start gasping from the heat. I like it from about 30 to 60.

Outside is nice a cool now, but inside it's got that 'feel like' 103!!

Scott W I found out some intel you might be interested in. First, G'day all. Just placed my third order with Iwan Reis and one from SP. In a few days I'll have fifteen pouches of Five Brothers. Probably will last me three to four weeks. From Iwan I got some more Sutliff CD in a tin. A pouch of 3 Star Ebony, and a tin of what may be of interest to Scott. I finally figured out what is in the Secret Sauce of 3 Star Dutch. I proffer this knowing you smoke Velvet. The ingredient is Licorice. However, it is not as throat ripping as Velvet can be sometimes. It is fast becoming one of my favorites. More intel when I get it. I only told the Secret Ingredient to one outside person. I sent it along with a cyanide pill in case someone tries to torture it out of him. That means this transmission is Hush Hush, Definitely Down Low, on the QT, and Strictly Confidential

I had to accompany my boss and a bunch of others to go drink at his house. I couldn't get away fast enough. I don't get out of the office before 8pm every night and we're suppossed to go hang with him afterwards as well!?!?! The things I do for a job.

It's been almost 18 years. Even a bad dream about an old job can be enjoyable if the right people are in it. We had some wild after work parties till dawn, outside the company. Sometimes the boss would come by and people would hide their beer and he would say, "Just give me a beer," and then he would talk to us. Disliked by many, but I miss him the most

I tend to be serious and professional at work but I admit that I need to get more involved in the office social scene. -Sigh- I'd honestly just go play a quite game of dominoes with the fellas at a bar. I'm even willing to play backgammon if there's only two of us.

Maybe it was the heat, but my youngest was awake from 1 until 6 am. Of course, so was I. Today is going to be a LONG day!
I've gotta be careful not to fall asleep at the wheel as I drive to 2 funerals.

Today was a scorcher of a day (in Irish terms anyway). It was about 75 degrees. It's now 11:50pm and there's still some brightness on the horizon. I often forget how far north we are. On our first night in Ireland, we were staying in Kenmare. We went to the restaurant next to the motel and there was a large group doing the Bunny Hop. I was wired and exhausted from the long trip, and the sun was shining so I was thinking it was too early to go to bed. After my Guinness was delivered to the table, I checked my watch and it was 11:30. I didn't finish the stout before I was out.

I had a job that I was not a team player because I didn't stay after work to drink the free beer with the bosses and other workers. That was a miserable 16 years.

I am so sorry for the loss, regardless.

A man who was really good with us when my dad died last year. However the second funeral today was in my current church. Purely coincidental... Although I am serving there as the assistant minister. Thankfully I stayed awake until I got home.

I remember surfing on the north coast after 11pm and it still being light.

I have a decision to make. I have recently found, at age 67.5,that my father was one half Native American. He was born in 1900, and apparently he wanted to keep it secret because of the discrimination against "halfbreeds". So, I am equal parts Cherokee and Choctaw. I can be a full member of just one tribe. Being a Libra, I am finding it impossible to make the decision. Anyone who has any knowledge of the tribes in question should feel free to chime in.

I'm a libra too so I kinda feel your pain. Please excuse my ignorance, but do you have to be a member of either? Can you simply be an unofficial half-member of both?
What does it mean to be a full member of one tribe?
Again, please excuse my ignorance... I'm genuinely questioning.

Ron, should have posted a reason: Sam Houston was an honorary member or something. As a Kentucky Colonel, besides family and friends, being in an organization that had some people in it, celebs, etc, that I love makes it more personal to me.

Tobacco Intel: Peterson Wild Atlantic I am on my fourth bowl of this in the last several days. My first one was meh (First time I have ever used meh. How did I do?). It seemed disjointed flavors. Came dry enough to smoke, though. No drying time. Second time was about the same, though I felt a little better about it. It was less meh. Both these times were in briar, tried and true pipes in my collection. Today I put it in my Shakespeare Meer and you know?, it wasn't too shabby. Felt a little more like a smooth English. It's in a pouch, btw. I prefer pouches for small amounts. I am smoking a bowl right now in a Devil Cutty MM. Whatever it was it is not now. It is not meh. It's an English with a little kick to it. And I like it. It went from only smoke if it was the last tobacco on earth to I could smoke this more often, especially when I am in the mood to pick up tins and pouches instead of tonnage. It does not necessarily have a lot of depth, but it is sort of a plus in this case. Could be an all day smoke. 3.5 stars, one notch above average. Could give it an upward tick over time.
Okay, since there is no shortage of this tobacco the Rules of Hush Hush do not apply, but let's PLEASE keep this on a Need To Know basis

I feel the need to connect to this part of my heritage. I don't really know why, but I am feeling it quite strongly. You are only allowed to be an official full member of one tribe. The Choctaw all a secondary tribe to be listed on your ID, but I would only be a member of the Choctaw. I am not sure what the Cherokee will do.
