Home from sligo. I had a great week, but it's come to an end, like all good things. Back to porridge on Monday. Welcome back home👍 Now you can relax over the weekend. Did you tell your wife your opening a B&B😜😜

Darin, you gave me an idea so I did some research.........but $149.00 for a frog I liked is a bit steep. Yeah, that's a bit much! Chubby came to us for free from some friends that were moving.

Good finals match. The round of 16 was a slog (outside of Japan v Belgium) but the rest of the second phase was much better. Football is much better when both teams come out hoping to win.

zambini Been smoking several bowls of Holiday match lately and have a recommendation. Though it doesn't have perique, the Brindley's Mixture, which I reviewed some days ago, has a similarly pleasing top-note. On both tobaccos it's so light they don't even ID added flavors, yet I could not smoke the Holiday without thinking of going to Brindley's next. So, the Sutliff Matches have me in their evil clutches again

It sounds like you've been discovering a lot of new aromatics worth trying lately. I'm just at like with Sutliff RR and am willing to try a new aromatic to displace Match Holiday once I'm finished with my 2oz. In a bar brawl, knock down drag out, lumberjack, Reticulan sfojfsa death match who's coming out on top: Brindley's, Dr. Bradley's, Distinguished Gentleman, some new guy fresh from the crowd?

I am suggesting Brindley's as an equal. If I were smoking Brindley's I might be thinking of Holiday. I get that same Semi-English/Slightly Sweet Blend. These two tobaccos need to be tag team partners against the Captain Blacks. If you are planning to chuck the Holiday altogether, you might get some Briggs along with Brindley's. Not sure how you found out about the Sfojfsa Death Matches. They have always been Hush Hush, Definitely Down Low, On The QT, and Strictly Confidential

Having gone to bed around 1:00 AM my brain immediately kicked into high gear. Realizing sleep wasn’t going to be possible I got up and returned to my recliner, switched on the TV, watched the last 15 minutes of some movie, suddenly my TV died. A symptom check on the internet confirmed it was going to be an expensive repair. So now after having a late breakfast and after being up all night, I’m again in my chair, listening to some Old Time Mountain Gospel Music streaming via Pandora, smoking my pipe, spending time on the Patch, and looking forward to a Danish ham on Jewish Rye with sliced garden fresh tomato. Life is still good. Hopefully tonight will afford better sleeping conditions. I have to get a new TV tomorrow. No way am I going to miss ”Battlebots” this week. 😎

Well, made it back from the air show. Successful trip, I made it back and the airplane is reusable! Wonderful time swapping lies with old vintage airplane flying buddies from the US and Canada. Bashed around the field for the joy and amazement of the crowd . I was the only pipe smoker amongst the cigarette and cigar smokers as usual. When i fired up my ODF, My roommate asked me if that was the Goodyear blend, thought it smelled like shredded tires. He liked the Arango Balkan though, which figures since he's English. Here's a shot I took from a C-47 on a journalist formation photo shoot the C47 pilot invited me on. A P-40 and a B-25 in formation.

Secret Transmission for ChroniclersThis info is to be kept under lock and key and is so Hush Hush, it's on the Down Low, to be kept on the QT, and held in strictest Confidence
Brigham Filters - For the most part, unless you have a Brigham pipe, what you have are cute little coke snorters... UNLESS!!! you are up to the challenge. Find out pipes they do fit. MM Country Gentleman for one. You might clip them shorter to fit in others. So, you ask... Okay, I know you didn't, why are these so good? They do not slow down your smoke. i forgot I even had one in my MMCG, They are good for better than twenty smokes. They may not filter out all that the others do, because it is like a straw. It does pick up stuff, doe not alter flavor. As many uses as you get out of one, 3$ for 8 is not bad.
Next is something I have mentioned in passing, but after all the tests I've run in my secret laboratory I can bring it to you now.
Wax Paper Squares: I am tired of jarring tobaccos, yet if I leave them in any of the different tins they dry out. I don't water plants or speak to flowers, so having a tobacco watering routine is out. For 5 Bucks, a Fin, a half a Sawbuck you can get 250 6x6 sheets. If you want, you can buy larger and smaller sides. However, the ones pictured below work for
Large Tins Sutliff Tubs Square and Round 2 Ounce Tins 7-8 Ounce Tins 2 ounce C&D style tins
The tins I have used these on have held their freshness or at worst you may have to add some water after a few months.
M'Lady and Gentlemen, may I introduce you to....

I use falcon filters in my cobs. Not sure if they do anything, but they pick up some crud. I cut them in half so they go further.
