Yeh Ted, I've seen it myself with my grandparents. And now, every year, the VA gives my dad more and more medication.

Oh... and to top it off, after filling out my paper work at the DMV, they reduced my fees from $440 to $210. Now, where did wishlist at SP run off too...

Hey everyone, I've been low profile for a few days, not posting much. Been wrapped up in spreadsheets and property sales and tax info research. Prepping for a court hearing for an ongoing property tax appeal I've had going for a long time. The county seems to think I live in Versailles palace, and the lawyer research is either too expensive or haphazard. Jeez, it can cost 200 bucks to ask a lawyer what time it is. you've been busy. Any chance of it calming down in the near future?

In all honesty, that’s a first👍 Usually you’d walk out of DMV paying double of what you figured! Luck is on your side, go buy a few scratch offs🎊🎉🎊🎉

I was really expecting to waste a lot more time and money up there. But I was in and out within 45 minutes.
Scratch offs have been helping my cellar grow the last couple of weeks. I guess that all of the money I've been giving to the state is finally coming back to me.

I would almost go as far as jumping into a pile of horse hoohah expecting to find the free horse

Audrey had her back surgery last night. They ended up fusing several vertebrae and putting in a rod. They also did a traecheotomy as she was still fighting the vent tube. She still can't breathe on her own. I don't know why this is happening. Victoria is too upset to get much sense from her.

Ron, the metal may be a good thing, but a reminder every time the weather changes. I think I have about 4-5 pounds of metal in my legs and neck. That would not be holding me back. The RA does that. Trying to say that may be the least of things. Like Ted, will continue praying. Thanks for keeping us up

I think they remove the rod when her vertebrae heal up enough. I would guess 2 years?

My upper neck looks like I have a metal ladder in it, and it will remain there. I just pray she starts breathing on her own, as I am sure you do, too.

Bumping this thread until @cosmicbobo gets back from visiting neighboring star systems. I spent all weekend working which worries me as I know that its easy for me to fall into bad habits like that. I was fortunate enough to see my brother's new apartment today which is oddly smaller and more expensive than his previous one three streets over but he seems happy. My sister's attempts to get my nephew to stop eating odd things at school is improving and I'm happy to report that papalo leaves are keeping that mouth busy throughout the school day for now. It's a slightly bitter leaf so I'm surprised he's latched on to it for now. It's been a wonderfully rainy sunday and I'm anxious to hear over the course of the week whether my latest academic article will be accepted as I feel that the abstract might be a little grandeous in its claims. In any case I need to start thinking up something new or at least a new experiment for old ideas. In any case it seems like there is a lot of overlap between economic geography, border studies, and urban development models worth exploring in case any one has an idea they'd be willing to let me swipe. Reminds me of when our book was coming due with the publishers, I was still recovering from my neck operations and my co-author traded off parts of the book with me to make it easier on me. I would still be sending him copy at 3am (by email). There's a ton more to you, zambini than meets the eye

I'm sure Victoria is beside herself with worry. I hope things improve soon for Audrey.

antb you know I am thinking about you when I spend all afternoon puffing bowl after bowl of SWR. Right now it's in my slowroll stack. Dad only smoked SWR and Muriel Corona Cigars. Now I know why he liked SWR so much.

David, because of the picture you posted with the chubby guy wearing the pink tutu I had to go out and purchase a bottle of Southern Comfort so I can hopefully sleep tonight without any nightmares!!!

Pretty sure it's the same guy, but he sure got some tatts. Or, those are temporary. Story behind it is his wife had/has cancer (not sure how it turned out). He did that to make her laugh each day. I don't get the same reaction out of Xuan
