My old man was 75 when he passed. I took him off life support per his living will. It happened quickly and there was no last conversation. At the end of the day, he was my best friend which is probably the highest compliment any father can expect from his children.

Cherish all the good times you had with your Dad, you will always have that which nobody can ever take from you....Amen

zambini, sorry if I have been bringing you down. My dad always watched the Friday night fights. I remember the Gillette and Pabst Blue Ribbon commercials more than the pipes. I was 8 so I didn't know anything.

On the bright side of many rainy days, my wife came home last night from an auction with a box a National Geographic magazines from the 1930s. That was when they were worth reading;real adventure stories and travelogues instead of the crap they publish now. I already learned something--in the '30s, they still used sailing ships to ship grain from Australia to Europe, over 100 days at sea. I love history.

You are on here almost as much as I was when I was working. π€ π Lol. It's not so bad for me... When I'm woken early by my daughter, I catch up on the events that I missed when I was asleep. That's when most of the action happens. That takes about 30 mins. After that, I keep the site open and refresh every hour or so, or when I take a toilet break I'd check on my phone. So I'm kinda just keeping on top of stuff throughout the day. I don't take work breaks so I just pop on here after I finish a bit of work. In the evenings my wife works nights out is asleep early the following night, so there are 4 nights a week when I can parouse the patch. I suppose this place is like my Facebook. I don't have Facebook or twitter etc. So my time wasting is on here. Like I said, most of the action happens when I'm asleep.
