One cocktail mix cup and some puffs from two pipes, listening to a radio drama on BBC R4, a satisfying day, with a reference book on the side. Now political news. A toffee .

Re Nightcap - My list would be too long and kaleidoscopic to list i.e, infinitely variable combinations & permutations: With a very deep tobacco cellar; good variety of pipes; well-stocked tea, coffee, soda, beer & liquor bar, voluminous home book reading library, cable TV, music & DVD video collection; one great dog and two fabulous feline souls; warm wood floors, concrete tile roof, and fireplace; ...I am content. My small world is my oyster, my nightcap is my pearl at day's end, never quite the same from one sunset to any other!

I've just laid out a half-flake each of Sillem's Commodore & vintage Edgeworth Sliced for a sublime cocktail baccy mixture for later... to be chased with a freezer-chilled tall dram of Jewel of Russia vodka... reading for the 5th time The Seth Material, by Jane Roberts.

A sophisticated menu, thanks for the Jane Roberts tip, I have been a student of religion and humanities as a Christian, I wiki'd her, and I thought of Theosophy, and related spiritualism, as a superficial link. I will follow the Sillem and Edgeworth reviews. cheers, slainte, iechyd da....

Still drawing on my Tom mix in my long Cossack combo pipe. Watched , Get Carter, 2000 with Sylvester Stallone, a remake of the 1971 version with Michael Caine, it is ok if Lancelot can keep it in the family, but for me nothing but the poppy for my family honour, folly & billiard madness. Making a " crude" cocktail on ice, with grapes & olives & oil & spice....

Nightcap...usually a Laphroaig neat...then, perhaps Bullet Rye neat twice a week...or a classic Manhattan or Old Fashioned...Tobacco depends on too many variables but usually something strong in plug or flake form...

Islay's best. I am quite new to the spirits & pipe as hobbies still exploring the "new virtual world", my friends.

Nightcap...usually a Laphroaig neat...then, perhaps Bullet Rye neat twice a week...or a classic Manhattan or Old Fashioned...Tobacco depends on too many variables but usually something strong in plug or flake form... Islays are a wonderful compliment to sweet strong plugs & flakes of all variety... a big favorite of mine, to include Laphroaig of course, is Ardbeg Provenance (very pricey, syrupy & sweet, ...a universe of difference from all else). I also prefer the Laphroaig 10 year (young and full of raw sassy flavor), more-so than the older casks. A top tier vodka, more neutral in flavor on the palette than scotch, is also a great primer to every successive puff. Mixing and matching is an endless pathway to discovery and enjoyment - be fearless, imaginative, receptive, and satisfied! I am presently enjoying immensely my Sillem's Commodore Flake mixed with Warrior Plug and a nice chilled dram of Jewel of Russia Classic vodka... then off to dreamland for the rest of the night.

A Benedictine liquor is the richest, sweetest, honey to complement fruits of the grain. As for Vodka, Polish Buffalo grass, with Bourbon Kentucky Buffalo, all good things come in two's. Dreams come in elder age, but troubled times. Then there is pure holy water....

Dreams come in elder age, but troubled times. Dreams in our elder age are the clearest windows to our soul if viewed upon with honest non-judgemental self-reflection. Troubled times come and go, sometimes not - this is life. We are who we are. Courage & stoicism is the best we can do, with a dash of optimism for good measure never hurts. Benedictine is among the monk's most precious gift - a true nectar of the gods! Wisdom is in the air we breath... inhale!

"Vanity of futility " , as Solomon may have said, in the Preacher, but between the Python & Cobra & Rattlesnake, I have little time to wrestle, so I am looking for the proverbial "android" pump, a "sleep apnea " machine, busy, busy , busy, in folly.

This late Friday evening, as a nightcap I will have an Original Guinness, with diet lemo' and ice, A slow Peter Stokkebye Balkan, with my unrefined palate & repertoire, the Balkan blend is like spirits, compared to American blends like beer, etc. Time for some holy music on YT for me to accompany with my quiet free muzak...

I usually start and end my day with GL Pease Cumberland.
As for a beverage, it is either decaf tea or hot lemon water. Used to be whisky, but then.........
