New Amsterdam has a unique flavor unlike the English and Dutch Gins I am familiar with. I like it and wish it was higher proof. I do too, I usually put it in the freezer so I donโt dilute with ice while stirring. It does the job for its price point. Iโm typically a Hendricks guy[/quote Good idea, the freezer. I never tried Hendricks and must give it a whirl now that Martini Season approaches.

I've never used zest in it, but now I'll have to try that.
I love pulp, lots and lots of pulp

In the morning a mug of Cafe du Monde coffee. In the evening, the same but decaf. When I'm feeling particularly leisurely I'll have a glass of scotch (Glenfiddich 14 year Bourbon Barrel Reserve) or an American single malt whiskey from Tucson, AZ -- Whisky del Bac, smoked over mesquite instead of peat.
