Grapefruit juice. Not allowed to have it with my meds, but love the stuff. Once in a while won't kill me. "right ?" only 1 way to find out. |

Grapefruit juice. Not allowed to have it with my meds, but love the stuff. Once in a while won't kill me. "right ?" Be VERY CAREFUL.....if your on a Statin it can kill you! Better chances of throwing a clot and having a TIA or even a serious stroke. I really enjoyed grapefruit juice but the risk of causing a serious unnecessary medical issue I’ll do without. Also if your on any blood thinners stay clear of foods with vitamin “ K “!!! |

Well my guest still hadn't shown up and the wife had to make a trip to the store...."Surprise me with some decent Scotch or Irish whiskey" she doesn't drink, but still managed to do me right...a new one for me. Paired with a Charles Mass hallmarked 1885 meerschaum smoking Small batch Carolina red flake. Followed later with my Navigator briar and Old Companion tobacco.  |

Miller Lite for me when I don't want water, but an adult beverage is called for. Like I said, compromise. Preferably a Four Peaks IPA when it's just one or two. |

I find that a carbonated drink messes with my taste when smoking. What I do is to open up a bunch of cans of Coke Zero and let them go flat. A cold flat coke is a delightful companion to a smoke.

It is not lost on me that Veranda Blend is a Starbucks Blonde roast, my favorite tobacco being Blonde. (In other matters I prefer brunette actually.)
Starbuck is not my favorite Moby Dick character. I like Stubb, who can calmly smoke a pipe through a whale hunt.
