Wee gin and 7up while I barbecue. Might be the last chance this year....  Why the last chance? Last chance to barbecue. We don't get many days of warm sunshine here. It's rained every day since then. We often joke, after a sunny few days in April or May, that that's the summer over. |

I cannot speak for The Six Counties but recall some very sunny mild days down Clare way in July and August. That was 46 years ago so weather may have changed some since. I hope you have better days and more opportunities this summer! |

Just about time to crack open a bottle Jack Daniel's Rye which is quite decent for the price. Have on hand "Q" brand Ginger Beer. Might be time for a Rye & Ginger.

I was surprised how many varieties of gin are out there. It's gone viral over here. It has. My brother keeps track of this stuff and knows whats up. He also tries a lot and compares and takes notes. (Like some of us do with tobacco.) But... he doesn't have the same preferences as to taste as I do, so his liking something doesn't necessarily mean I will. But his gin recommendation to me was really good, and as a result, I am not afraid of gin drinks anymore. I just ask for a particular gin. Suddenly I enjoy a negroni, or a dirty martini, or a gin and tonic. |

Being this is Sunday late afternoon and I do not have to be anywhere, a large Pink Gin might be just the thing. Tanqueray. Now the question is ice or neat? That decision ought to occupy me for a while.

It's tasty and clean enough to drink neat with a cube or two.

Fresh brewed tea for me.... things have cooled off in Arizona for a few days... great smoking weather.
Canada Dry came out with some new flavors?
(New to me at least)
Ginger ale with Lemonade, and Cranberry Ginger ale.
They make for a great drink with vodka.

Along with the pipe I’m enjoying for my holiday weekend I decided to have Southern Comfort 80 Proof, 3 fingers neat. I feel like cheating and I definitely will not mention this to my doctors!!!
