One of my favorites, very nice Dr. it was. 750ml isn't enough though (for two people). Agreed

An early Bump of Knob Creek 100 proof Rye. Just one ounce.
The cold makes me a bit stiff and sore.

Trying an IPA called Bodem Half Acre.
Not bad, but I’ve had better.

I love my Cheerwine. I am about six months into this Cheerwine addiction, no noticeable side effects. Except I haven't had the desire to smoke any Blood Red Moon in a long time.

Amaretto on ice. Never liked it before, but I've acquired a nice taste for it. I think it would pair brilliantly with my pipe.

Later today will be a Rye Manhattan made with Jack Daniel's Rye, Fee Brothers' Bitters, and Marsala instead of Vermouth. JD Rye is made by Midwest Grain Products, a substantial distiller located in Indiana. They do a credible job. Not as good as Knobb Creek Rye or Bulleit Rye or even Wild Turkey Rye but good enough for me.

And it came to pass in the Land of Naught, that a Cocktail Hour descended upon the faithful. Rye and bitters net with a sweetened wine, shaken gently over ice. Yea, a Manhattan was brought forth. And, it was good!

A cup of hot tea. "Altinbas" is the name on the bag, my boy brought it to me from Turkey. It's good. Trying to ease up a little on my coffee consumption.

A wee dram of Laphroaig Triple Wood. I heard about this one ... what did you think? It's very good. It's a little less exciting than the Laphroaig 10 and 15,but still obviously a Laphroaig. If you like Laphroaig, you will like the Triple Wood. If you don't, maybe an amaretto sour?🤡

When I drank Scotch, Laphroaig was one of my favorites. When I visited Scotland, they were high on my list for a visit. I do not drink much Scotch anymore except at the house of my ex-wife. She is a Glenlivet drinker, bless her pea picking heart.

Taking a brief interlude from Bourbon with a large glass of Stolichnaya Gluten Free Vodka. Yeah, it sounded silly to me, too. It was on sale for $4.99 for 750 ML. It is Stoly, how bad could it be, eh? So, it is made from corn and buckwheat. Not bad. Very smooth and bland. It has been kept in the freezer for a week so it is nice and cold. Made in Riga, Latvia.
