Just received this blend today and my fist time trying...... C&D Billy Budd Blonde bulk version-fresh Pipe of choice: one of the Custom Cobs I made for my smoking pleasure. Ted, I’m curious to know your thoughts. I have a tin from earlier this year. I prefer to let most C&D blends age a year before opening. Please share your impressions. Sam, gladly after smoking a few bowls. Next in one of my Comoy’s 👍👍. I did enjoy this blend in a Cob👍

And yet, you're opening another tin? I know, I know, a "Kerr" jar is your friend

This is a particular Comoy’s pipe I’ve been looking for and luckily last year I found it in restored to mint/like new condition. Al Jones did the restoration and I knew it would be perfect!!! The model 215 has the perfect size bowl. It’s a beauty 👍 Another bowl of Billy Budd Blonde....only my second bowl Pipe of choice: Comoy’s 215, a superb smoking pipe 👌👍

no "owls" at the chat now (sound is on in case somebody shows). CokeClassic at this desk, DGT '06 Blackpoint in gourd calabash in smoking room (opposite end of house). Time to check latest e-messages, PM, one other site before doing a beer in smoking room...before crashing.
Hope all dealing with the Eastern brutal heat starting Sat are well hydrated & as comfy as possible

Good morning, you all. First smoke of this already hot and humid Saturday; McConnell's 'Pure Orient' in a 'Bruyère Garantie', bought at W. Ø. Larsen's in the eighties. It's completely identical to a Georg Jensen, I've got, but GJ's seconds were called 'White Star'. Strange. The tobacco is the perfect morning smoke for me; mild and friendly. (Just like me... ).

A note on The Buffalo Springfield. A 5 CD boxed set of all their albums remastered (in mono and stereo) just came out today.I am ordering one for sure. This is the first time their music has been remastered. The set is worth buying for "Expecting To Fly" alone. Off to the record shop first thing Monday morning. I have their records on vinyl and CD, but remastered..? A must-have. Thanks for the tip.

Good morning, you all. First smoke of this sunny Friday morning; Rattray's 'Exotic Passion' in a Nomen Nescio no. 1155 S. (The little EU nannies renamed the tobacco thus. Idiots.)
we wondered what was up with that. And we thought we had it bad over here.... It's ridiculous beyond description. Tobaccos are not allowed a delicious-sounding name, thus 'B.S. Flake' for 'Brown Sugar Flake', 'Kendal Cream Flake'.. Cream..? Can't have that, so it's now 'KC Flake' and there are more examples of this gross stupidity... They're probably afraid that children might be tempted to buy/steal a tin and eat the contents.
