Lots of good suggestions. I love Exotic Orange, but good luck nailing down a tin. Also as a new to aromatics guy, it can be a bit much.
GH&C Top Black Cherry is great and mildly fruity with a medium strength and body. So many good Sutliff blends from Holiday Match to Pumpkin Spice.
You may also consider blending your own. Take a nice sweet, light VA like Cardiff that burns with a faint room note almost like fresh sliced honeydew- Then you can spike it with some nice oily burly to get the body and nicotine you crave. You could also use the burley to boost any cavendish based aromatic to your 'addicts' desire. haha
Good luck

Sutliff Barbados Plantation is a definite and distinctive Aromatic. I prefer it in the tin, though it can also be had in bulk, labeled as Queen Anne's Revenge. Ahh. I've had Queen Anne's Revenge.

Lane Burley & Black is a nice Aro blend, but a bit light on nicotine (even for me). I have experimented with adding Lane Burley to it and finally settled on a 80/20 mix. Larger percentages of the Burley overpowered it, but the move to 20% struck the right balance for me.

It's unusual to find an aro that really holds my interest but Shortcut to Mushrooms was quite good.
Another recent discovery was Sutliff J4 Mild Burley ... very mild flavor and great room note. I'll use this mainly as a mixer with stronger blends but it's an all-day smoke on it's own too.

What tobaccos are in founding fathers? What is the room note like?
The description tells us what is in the sauce, but nothing about the tobaccos.

I'm not sure of the Tobaccos in it, but it's a decent medium cased aro. I've definitely had better. 3/5 stars, but that's to my taste. I've recently had the pleasure of trying Cult Abacus and Cult Profile. Abacus is definitely a benchmark aro for me. It's everything Lane 1Q wants to be. Profile is fantastic. It's definitely cased, but it doesn't get in the way. Very pleasant room note, and wonderful tobacco flavor. I can feel some nic too, which is rare for most traditional aros. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Edit: tobaccos in FF are Burley and black cav.

My current order from P&C is mostly aros. Not sure how that experiment is going to work.
Opened a can of Gaslight today and my world will never be the same! I'm in love! Far cry from all the aro's in the mail...

Shortcut to mushroom is a special tobacco from a place called “ Just for Him “. It’s a blend with a high quality Latakia, so you Lat lovers....... this blend is a MUST try for you. I’ve smoked the blend a few times and found the blend to smoke smooth, creamy and subtle all at the same time, and the price won’t cost you “ The Ranch “!

From my own point of view (FWIW), I don't understand why anyone would want to smoke pipe tobacco just because it was an Aro. Granted, ther may be times when you may want to be considerate of others, but most of the time they'll hae you anyway because you're a smoker. I could care less whether it's an Aro or not. What counts is how the tobacco tastes like. If it's good, and it's an Aro, that's great. But if the tobacco tastes good, and stinks like hell, so be it! Just my ¢.02 worth.

Devil's Holiday by Dan Tobacco is a good one. It is close to matching taste to smell. Smooth and won't bite you unless you freight train it. I haven't had it ghost any of my pipes but a few of my friends on other forums say it has ghosted some of their pipes. So perhaps trying it in a cob first is the way to go.

Most smokers seem to have a love-hate relationship with them, but I like Capt. Black Royal and Paladin Black Cherry.

The only aromatic I smoke very regularly is St Bruno.
It's a big, bold blend. Subtle like a kick in the head.

A good aromatic for the conundrum your in would have to be captain black white. Can't get much more pleasant smelling than that.

Being a Va centered smoker I have rarely smoked an aro over the past 40+ years but recently was introduced to one that I can smoke regularly. It's a va based blend with a nice vanilla/maple room note and taste that is sweetened by the va base, No burley so it smokes nice and dry finishing with a nice grey ash, no burley goop! It's Peterson's Deluxe Mixture and will be a regular smoke foe me !

The problem I have with many aro's is the fact that they Bite The Hell Outta Me! As much as I love Cherry Pie, I've yet to find a Cherry Aro that doesn't obliterate my tongue and the roof of my mouth.
That being said, Carter Hall is one, considered an aro by some, that has a pleasant room note and is easy to smoke, no bite.
Being a Lat Head, and the fact that Blondie and I have been together for 30+ years, I'm not worried bout "chasin her away", but she has the least amount of negative comments about....
Carter Hall Black Cavendish Sutliff Peach Cobbler
The others that I prefer... English's, Balkans, etc... although pleasant tin notes, seem to chase her out of the mancave. ;-)
just my $0.02
