While they do claim this, if you look earlier in this thread you’ll notice my first Peterson pipe did not appear to be the same one pictured. Maybe it was a one off mistaken their part, I’m not sure The pipe you bought was the same one in the photograph. |

So what did you decide on this time? Believe me at this point I'm really really pulling for you! It seems to me that you are dead set on getting what you want and I personally feel like if you're willing to spend the money you should get exactly what you want. Maybe you might want to look at having one made just for you? Got a cheap $30 Bruyere St. Claude with no defects Pics or a link? |

I have been following this thread, but because I’m new, I really didn’t feel I could add anything to the discussion. However, since I’m purchasing a couple of pipes myself, it has been very informative. The fact that the thread has reached 5 pages speaks to the patience and helpfulness of this group. The veterans here came together with a wide range of opinions, and without name calling and just a bit of humor at the OP’s expense, helped him come to a successful outcome.
Kudos to you, lucidillusion, for accepting the advise in the spirit it was given, and making a logical and informed purchase IMHO. I wish you well, and maybe someday you and I will be able to help a newbie into this lifestyle.

Absolutely thrilled that you found a pipe that fits you.
This thread demonstrates that price ($$) doesn't equal
quality,and that quality can also be subjective.I'm
of the opinion that no matter how new you are,if you
have a thought ,share it.New eyes can sometimes see the

Sorry if you felt like you were jumped on because of a slight imperfection of the pipe you purchased. Most online retailers will check the pipe you purchase if you call and place your order over the phone. If you find a pipe @ Smokingpipes that catches your eyes, make a phone call and ask for Chip. He’s a pipe smoker and will answer your questions and personally check the pipe your interested in...good luck👍👍

Ended up just getting a $30 Bruyere st. Claude straight billiard everybody! It’s perfect without any defects. What an adventure lol. How did that work out for you? |
