A full-face plastic mask..? Are you kidding..? It'll take all the fun out of it. You might as well collect stamps. In some cases your better off collecting stamps....especially if clothes pins are needed....πππππ I really do not want to know when and how clothes' pins are needed.
(Got any pictures..?).

...going to get back into motorcycle riding...
... As my wife has stage 4 cancer most of my current time is spent taking care of her... I have a Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan with about three inches of dust on it. I'd like to get it out next spring. We'll see ... Your wife and family are in my prayers, Peter.

Books, Chess, Books, Woodworking, Books, Warhammer 40k and its sundry other offshoots (prefer sci-fi to fantasy), Books, First Edition Books, Out of Print Books, Banned Books, Forums, Warhammer 40k (again....expensive, time consuming, but lots of dice rolling), Gambling, and I think Books....that should do it.
(As an aside, I am not joking about the books, my personal home library is over 4000 strong and growing) My wife says I have a problem, but like me, she mourns the loss of the Library of Alexandria so she can't say much.

Sorry to hear about it all. I hate the saying "My thoughts and prayers...." as I am a much more hands on person, but I hope you have all the help you need during this time.

I spend too much money on my other hobbies, so I have to spread it out

I'm on the opposite end of this, ExB. I greatly appreciate thoughts and prayers when offered. YMMV. My mother became disabled when I was eight and my father when I was twenty-seven. I'm disabled now. Prayer has sustained me my whole life, a life both wonderful and a "valley of tears".

After the latest, big thinning of the herd, I'm down to a little over 5000 volumes, mostly history with all it's sub-categories, biographies, photography, cook books, comics and crime, both fiction and non-fiction. The main library doubles as the smoking den and we have a smaller library branch in the living room. I love books.

Okay, well, you asked for it.
In no particular order: brewing beer, playing the guitar and singing, tinkering with machines, including old VWs, messing with computers, making stuff out of wood and metal, cooking, photography, etc.
(And I mean etcetera, because I'm not even telling you about one of my favorite hobbies that happens to be illegal in many parts of the world and involves fermentation, and that's all I'm going to say about that, since it would violate forum rules.)
Anywho, part of me thinks I was put on this planet just to live and experience as much of everything as I can, because that's what I do.

Oh. We're including comics as well? That's a whole different ball of wax and much more damaging to my street cred

Oh yes, books, books. One of my greatest pleasures. I have about 3000 volumes, mostly history and biography, with a lot of old classic novels. J got tired of modern novels. When I was working and traveling in my last business, my favorite place to go was London and all the great second hand bookstores around Charing Cross Road. When I just feel like perusing, I sit in my library thumbing thru a full set of Encylopedia Britanica from 1901.

Last Saturday I stopped at a local yard sale and purchased an old Marine bayonet from WWII for $5.00. It needs a full restoration, including the handle scales. The blade is so dull I wouldnβt be able to cut myself out of a paper bag!! Once I get back to my sonβs Iβll have a project that I will definitely enjoy accomplishing πππ

The London bookstores!! Sheer heaven! ...and how about Foyles for newer pubs? Damn near every book by every author on 4 floors! I've been to Foyle's thrice, first, only and last time. I was subjected to a very snotty behaviour by two of the staff, so I followed the advice of Dillon's poster placed at a bus stop just outside Foyle's, "Foyled again..? Try Dillon's" and there I got the most exquisite service.

His wife was 57, I think that kept his heart beating as long as it did, he was a miserable person and I believe thatβs why God left him on Earth as well....πππππππ

β¦ after helping the wife raise 6 sons and retiring 5 years ago...I enjoy more time to read, once again listening to my music, not my kids...going to get back into motorcycle riding, and developing a better sense of Native theology and culture...As my wife has stage 4 cancer most of my current time is spent taking care of her...with the help of Hospice...one son still at home in High School... Very sorry to hear about Mrs. Buffalo Spirit.
You are a good man and being able to be there for her in her time of most need is a blessing for you both.
May your memories be of the good times, peppered with today.

Pipe and smoking for sure, but I am also into reading (military history, weird fiction from the 30's and 40's, classic adventure stories, etc), collecting classic movies, collecting Laphroaig scotch, drinking Laphroaig scotch, thinking about drinking Laphroaig scotch, fishing for redfish in the marsh, shooting, shooting, and listening to old radio horror and mystery programs, Finally, I enjoy lazily planning world domination.
You know, just regular old stuff.
