Would love to see some photos of your oldest pipes. I will start keeping an eye out at antique shops and garage sales.

Some place around here I have 2 Meers that are late 19th early 20th century. Then I think my WDC Royal Demuth may be late 30s to late 40s.

My grandfather’s 1914 Dunhill Shell briar 4s. Only smoke this pipe on special occasions, that’s 6 times a year. Still an excellent smoking pipe 👍

My oldest isn't that old, but can be dated fairly accurately. It is a Charatan Special medium Dublin shape 91. It is a Reuben's era pipe, and dates from between 1955 and 1960. Here's a pic: And here is some evidence of its age:

I have bought a few 'estate' pipe on ebay. Haven't a clue how old they are. So apart from those all I've got is my legend which I bought 3 years ago. Hardly worth posting.
Actually, it's in my avatar.

Dunhill seems like a name to keep an eye out for in my travels.. From 1968 and prior are best, but you will be paying BIG bucks! Save your money and purchase a few good Estate pipes from eBay....good luck👍 Id NEVER pay $500.00 plus for a Dunhill pipe!......JMHO Get yourself an RDPowell pipe once he starts making his beauties again or a Don Warren pipe, I highly recommend both pipe makers/craftsman....and you’ll still have plenty of money left over for tobacco’s 👌👍

I’ve biught some BBB’s and GBD pipes real cheap in off the road shops that had no clue what they were selling. Have fun shopping 👍

Since you live in Georgia, you'll probably find some Edward's pipes. Snatch up ANY in good shape as they are probably the BEST smokers you'll find ! There are lots of them on e-prey for decent prices ! My oldest pipe is a BY Dunhill Shell apple from 1946 but I cant post a pic of it.

I have a (at this point) 118 year old lion head meer that I got from my mentor/boss at the pipe shop I worked in back in college days. The boss had owned it for 50 years when he gave it to me and I've owned it for over 50 years myself. It has a bone tenon and amber stem. Sorry, no picture unless you want an emailed picture (no image hosting site).

The little bent smokes great for a short smoke.
BTW if you ever want to host a picture, and dont want to have a hosting site. Just post it on facebook and mark the image private (for your eyes only) in the upload settings. Nobody will see the picture but you. That way you can use FB for your image hosting.

My Sasieni one-dot #89. From my research, and I will differ to my more knowledgeable brothers, this pipe is a pre-1920 given that the pipe is on the stem. I know I did some more research, when I bought the pipe, but I can no longer find it. It was originally the pipe of a friend of my father who has since passed. It was his father's pipe, but he gave it to me, when neither of his daughters wanted it. Those two anti-everything. My dad mentioned to him that I started smoking pipes, and he gave the pipe to my dad to give to me. When my dad gave it to me, I realized in an instant what it was, and I told my dad. He said I should give him some money for it. So, I offered a very reasonable price given what similar pipes were going for on eBay. He refused (he was well off), and he said he wanted his dad's "special" pipe to go to someone who would enjoy it. He mentioned his dad called it his "special pipe," but he could recall the story. I sent it off and had it professionally restored. It still has the original stinger attachment, but it is very tight, and I hate removing it, as I am TERRIFIED of breaking it. It is one of the oldest things I own.

You can choose either public or private when posting a picture. I use the Imgur app on my iPad and one of my browsers if on a PC. Create an account and have fun....it’s FREE👌👍👍 Facebook is fairly easy to hack, even for a novice just getting into networking. I too don’t do Facebook!!!
