My wife and I swore off facebook. So that for me is a no-no. Wish there was a no charge hosting site. Walt, I use Imgur for hosting my pictures. You can choose either public or private when posting a picture. I use the Imgur app on my iPad and one of my browsers if on a PC. Create an account and have fun....itโs FREE๐๐๐ Facebook is fairly easy to hack, even for a novice just getting into networking. I too donโt do Facebook!!! I use Facebook to look up plaintiffs in my legal practice. You would be shocked, well, maybe not shocked, at what people post online while claiming catastrophic injuries in lawsuits. Some people are so stupid you actually feel like you are damaging your own intelligence by sharing the same air.

If you have a Facebook account I can assure you any fairly large business or corporation will look up your name and check โ whatโs posted on your WALL on Facebook โ!!! Iโve seen MANY people that donโt set up their account as โ private โ, use to make it real easy for me to track people, came in handy with the type of work I retired from in 2011. Itโs just sheer stupidity what some people post on Facebook and OTHER social media sites.

I haven't posted anything since 2008 for that reason, and because I could not care less about what the majority of humanity thinks about anything.. I suspect there are people who thing I'm dead because of a lack of posting. But, if they want to find out how I'm doing, they can always call. My phone number hasn't changed.

Ron, stunning Pipes....thanks for sharing those pictures ๐๐. My jaw dropped once I noticed your WDC pipe. Plus, those are two of the nicest looking Calabash pipes Iโve seen in years. I hope you smoke them as well.

Late 30's Kaywoodie. Pot bowl with panel shank - #7785B - Drinkless.
I removed the stinger from both the stem and the pipe and had a push tenon made. Probably a dumb move but it was early in my pipe education.

My oldest pipe is a NPW Bulldog with an Amber stem. The stummel is in perfect condition, but I am afraid to smoke it because of the crack in the stem. It has the initials RDT on the silver band. There doesn't seem to be any damage under the band.

My oldest ppe is this little Corsica Elite made by Henri Vuillard in St. Claude. It was given to my father by a good friend, who brought it back from Switzerland in 1936. My father gave it to me in the late sixties, when he went from pipes to cigars.

My oldest that I know for sure is an 1864 Austro Hungarian, the only reason I know the date, is because the date is etched in the silver...to put it in perspective, the civil war was raging at the time! Charles Maas London 1885 My other 1800's Austro Hungarian behind the earlier one pictured. And i was told that the bearded Meerschaum was probably by Ludwig Hartmann of Vienna Austria that was prolific in carving French Zouave Soldiers 1850-1890 All of the pipes smoke very good, but they are special occasion pipes.

Really gorgeous pipe! I'm afraid I don't have anything really old, just stuff like these: 1872 Barling Magnum 1882 Barling with sterling windcap 1907 Unsmoked Barling cased set 1926 Barling Dublin ...and a few other odds and ends.

Jesper, still looks in great shape!! Very good looking pipe. You keep your pipes in great shape, your as anal retentive as me! After each smoke I give my briars a quick buffing with a microfiber cloth that has a dab of beeโs wax and mineral oil on the cloth. Donโt have issues with ebonite/vulcanite stems oxidizing ๐

sablebrush52, those are outstanding! I can't stop looking. I expected great things, considering the pipes that you give away, but I am unable to get my jaw to close. ๐ค ๐๐๐ฅ

Post from Walt This pipe is a no-name that I got from my boss/mentor back in the 60's...he bought it when he was in Turkey, 50 years earlier.

More of a different pipe This pipe was a birthday gift from Briar Spirit Pipes in London. Kirk made 16 pipes for me during a 2 year span. He put a lot of heart into his pipes, but he personally had some "issues". These pipes are nothing compared to some of the ones prior to this post. Sable's Barlings and some of the other old ones, like Ron's pride and joys' are far superior to anything I have.

My oldest pipe is a manhattan full bent w/ silver banding. Older than my other pipes and still very nice to look at. It has a special feel to it as though the previous owner smoked it reveringly, of steady hand.
