Hello, folks. I'm broadcasting out of New York City. I'm told we make very fine salsas.
I, like several other recent joiners, fled a failed attempt to create a pipe forum. Politics got in the way. That's strictly off-limits here, and that's what I'm hunting for.
I started smoking a pipe many years ago, as a broke college student. A pipe was the perfect length for my walk to work, and a pipe-full cost less than a $0.50 cigar. A cob and a tin of Dark Twist was enough for me up until 2017. I found a local pipe store that I actually enjoyed visiting, dabbled in the local pipe club, and started trying everything I could lay hands on.
Now my tastes are changing and I want to talk to other people about stuff.

Also to get it out of the way, the nickname was just a line from a sitcom I was watching when I registered an account somewhere: "If someone offers you a free hat, smell the hat first."

So far, good folks here all around. If I want neck deep crazy, I'll go to AR15.com or Tigerdroppings.com. Although, I spend way too much time on both. This forum is relaxing like pipe smoking.
Oh yeah, welcome from Lafayette, Louisiana.

It got a little nutty back over yonder.

Don’t ever wear another mans hat.....or his underwear....in my book it’s one of the same! That how one of my grandchildren brought home head lice from school.....trading cool hats....nasty!

Don't ever wear a dead man's shoes, either. In my faith it’s considered walking on another persons soul once they pass away.

I told him that was ridiculous, and he told me that King county Wa. was double that.... but 17k? A sure way to push a retiree into the street.... friggin criminal.

Charlie, one of my close friends from Long Island lives in a 5,400 sq. ft. home in Dix Hills, his taxes just passed the $29,000 mark. Absolutely “ freakin “ ridiculous! Okay, he has a huge in ground pool and tennis court. He’s a Neurosurgeon, so all is just fine with him!
