I bet this has been asked, but maybe it's time for a fresh ask. How many pipes do you own? I promise I won't tell your spouse!
I'm on the low end of the spectrum, I feel. I have ten pipes. I'm always looking for new ones, but I'm satisfied with the ones I have.
You?

Funny, I just got all my pipes out for cleaning. I really didnโt know how many I had, but it seems I have 18 and two in the pipeline . None over $130.

A little north of 40. Maybe 10 of those get smoked with any regularity.

I've about 7 cobs and about the same in briar. I went on a pad rampage on ebay earlier this year and then the pad stopped. I'm all about the tobacco these days. I still lust after the odd pipe... Esp when I see bambooshank's.

I don't feel comfortable counting my pipes. I think that would reveal things about myself that I do not wish to know.
It's more than a few dozen and less than a few hundred, I think.

A big bunch! I need to thin the herd but cannot bring myself to part with any of them. Each pipe I own was carefully selected because something about it appealed to me. Each one still holds that appeal. Those given to me by my friends cannot be had for any price. So far this year I have restrained myself from acquiring more even though I continue to search many vendors online and see a host of magnificent pipes I would like to own. I feel certain if I owned 10,000 more pipes I would still find more that Iโd want. PAD is an incurable disease and as long as I can control it I donโt want a cure.

Over the years I've owned about 200. Now I'm down to 30.That's actually more than I need.

The worst part is that I own pipes that I don't want to own. Pipes I actively want to sell. And I'm just too lazy to get it done.
I always have the energy and the interest to research or restore a beaten up used pipe, but never have the time to get some lightbox photos of the things I want out of my house!

Bought my first pipe back in 1969 and still have it and smoke it! My main pipe buying took place from the early '70s 'till the early '80s. I've bought about 6 used pipes since 2010 and currently have 110 briars, 4 cobs and 4 meers. Should be enough right? Yeah, sure !

I have an even 20 with the addition of a little C&D branded Missouri Meerschaum nosewarmer.

I'm down to 49. I've given away a number of my gems, cause I have a friend or three that I just felt they should have them. I've enjoyed them for 50+ years and it was time for them to have new homes where they will be appreciated as much as I appreciated them.
While I miss them, I enjoy my friends even more....they are just a piece of wood. My Briar Spirit Pipes are special to me. A good friend in London made them for me...he is now institutionalized and most likely will never make pipes again. Sad, because he put a lot of heart into every pipe. He wasn't perfect and his work wasn't perfect but his friendship...that was perfect.

Yes....my Ruger Commander 1911 and my Kimber 1911 Team Match II....I have the trigger breaking right @ 4 pounds๐๐ ...my daily carry is a .380, but I really enjoy shooting my Kimber .45... Youโve seen pictures of my daily carry.....also my carry today while out, Sig Sauer P-238. Much more of a muzzle lift then any of my 1911โs. I much prefer a 380 with Hornady Critical Defense rounds over my 9 mm. I carry HOT, hammer down, safely on. Some carry HOT with hammer back....not me!

Most ever....122. Pared down big time at CORPS '89, part of a huge 4 person swap. Me, Richie "Jaws", Esserman & a Russian guy around Sam Barnett's table. Pipe flying all over among us. Came home with 60 or so. Sold, gave some away, now grand total 51 & holding at my creaky years. All smoked in rotations of 10-11 at a time. Total includes 3 no-name meers & 3 "yard" junkers that I can light with a Zippo & not worry about rim sorch.
