Guessing you made it home? I have a bulletproof windshield on mine. As long as I remember to keep my head down. Heading out in a few minutes ... it's looking pretty clear now. My windshield is lowered but deflects well.

Still without after the last one ended up a lemon. But when the time comes, my eye is pretty fixed on the new 750 Katana. Do they still make those? I believe they are a litre bike now and twice what they cost last time I looked at them. They revamped them and rereleased them in 2020, I think. They do have a 1000 option, and a 750. But I'm 5'9", 185lbs. 750 is plenty of bike for just me. I'll try to find a picture of the new ones.

And it looks like I was wrong, only a 1000 option, at least in the 21s.

I got to spend the day on a similar Buell and decided, while fun, I wanted to live. Lol

Big, fast bikes scare me. My little Honda 100cc does not. It takes me there and brings me back. That's all I want.

My entire yard was trashed when I got home ... cones, needles, leaves and sticks covering the entire area. Garden was beat to hell, pool full of debris and a few broken items. It must have been an insane micro-burst!

Ron, I felt concerned when you mentioned thinking of another motorcycle. Given your current condition, old timer, and where you live now with its difficult climate, you might want to consider this Hensel Steam Powered Motorcycle. I understand there is an option for a roof mounted AC unit.

It's only 70 pounds heavier than the 900,which was only 45 pounds heavier than the original 59 model. That said, if I was going to get another one it would be the 900 like I had before, but with fuel injection. 10 year old models with less than 5k miles can be had for $5k. But a 250 would be more my speed. I believe that I'll just stick with the trike. 1800cc that doesn't fall over.

Beautiful ride in to work this morning. The road was my own and the Wing was an extension of my body. We hit 110 mph in two different sections and took the curvies fast enough to remove a little more rubber from the bottom of the floorboards. 🙂

Some call it adrenaline, I call it fear. You can have one without the other but never the other without one. I guess in reality it could result in respect. I choose to not ride as I know my limitations and fear my lack of respect.

You have to consider this is on a 6-cylinder couch on wheels. 100 mph feels like 80 mph on a smaller bike. However, that being said, I always have the utmost respect and always consider the weather, terrain and traffic. Today, all the pieces fell together effortlessly.

There's nothing else your mind can do but let go and be in the moment.

I left my Hardly riding nephews out of my mind and became one with the bike. Pure Zen.

I had a motorcycle rider that seemed to be pacing me parallel to my drive axles in 115 degree heat as I was grossing 80k the other day.
He looked as if he had been riding awhile, but he sure lacked basic common sense. 105 PSI recap busting loose will certainly up the pucker factor for a motorcyclist.
