Heavier coat indeed ... it was 36F when I left for work this morning! π² The only part that really got cold was the tips of my fingers ... gotta figure that one out. Heated gloves?

Probably a good idea, my son gave his Mom a heated vest and itβs her favorite thing.

That's certainly an option! ππ I like those hand guards they make for the Wings, but $160+shipping is too much.

I am so sad to be motorcycle-less. Another biker killed in Shreveport yesterday when a SUV turned in front of him. Be careful, it's a jungle out there.

I would love to own an AJS 500 single... or any of the other singles made in England. There is an Indian made Royal Enfield for sale in Santa Fe at a reasonable price but not likely for me. I test rode one when there was a dealer there years ago and it seemed OK although lighter made than the originals from the UK.
I love their sound. Not so good for long distance travel at speed as they tend to overheat but for local rides, none finer than an English Thumper.

I'm afraid to put my 256 pounds on one. But the price is right. Wife is against it though. She likes the Vanderhall and there are several for sale in the area, but I think we're too old to get in and out of them. I still like the Himalayan of all the new bikes.

I had to look that up, John. Thanks. Turns out many classic Brit cars had wooden frames. Also quite a few Americans, including early GM autos.

Fords too. Those early Woodies were real wood. Frames, not trim. The Model Ts had wooden frames and later models had wooden door frames.

I have followed the development of this Mark. They now offer a 450cc version. Ought to be enough for me! Janus Mototcycles.

Beautiful ride into work this morning with a nice orange sunrise and warmer temps. The bike wanted to run and I let it including some fresh skids on the bottom of my foot pegs in the twisties.
