Toke it up Martin! I've smoked recreationally and for back pain and muscle spasms for many years. You're probably looking at smoking indica or indica heavy hybrids. There are also specific strains better for muscle and joint pain. A dispensary bud tender can give you more tutelidge on this. But remember indica = in da couch, so get your $&!T done first, have a toke then maybe even enjoy a pipe afterward. Best of luck to you Martin, this can and will help you! You have a thoughtful daughter and some friends at the patch who wouldn't steer you the wrong way!
I agree about the dugout and one hitter, easy to dose. Try and get a glass or ceramic bat to replace the nasty aluminum one that comes with it. Little extra but worth it flavor wise. A vaporizer that you can put the flower straight in is very nice as well. Lower carcinogen and not as harsh or heavy.
I'd also like to add that most negative things you hear about ganja are provably false. I'd much rather roll one up than take a pill. Just sayin'.

I've never partaken myself, but it seems to really help various medical conditions. It's legal here and if it helps you, I say do it. If you want to avoid the intoxicating effects, use the CBD oil as mentioned earlier.

Anything herbal over Big Pharma is preferred. I'm stocking up on Kratom while still available as it's been a wonderful supplement at low doses. I tried it. Made me sick. |

Great daughter. Would you rather live life High or Low? I was diagnosed with severe depression from becoming disabled from severe Polyneuropathy. Marijuana cures the depression and pain, pharmaceuticals all failed for both conditions. Unfortunately in NC it will be many years before these ignorant, delusional, bible thumping rednecks who think it comes directly from Satan, will ever legalize it.

...my adult daughter is a professional grower of Marijuana. It is legal in California, and a few other states. For Christmas, one of her gifts was a quantity of her product. I have not smoked the stuff in many years. I believe her intent was to make sure that I had some on hand to mitigate the pain/lack of appetite due to my various illnesses. She doesn't smoke it herself. It was a thoughtful gift, but I wonder what you folks think about it? DT, I think you should go get a dry leaf vaporiser from a vape shop man. I haven't smoked the stuff in years either - only because I vape it! ;-) I've long since moved onto concentrates. You know that fancy stuff we used to call "hash" back in the day ;-) Its so much better for you than alcohol. And while it does not alleviate my pain, it alleviates my mental suffering from my pain, which I think is the worse of all. I hope Thailand gets their medical programme up and going soon because I'm moving there... very soon! |

Same here, in 2011 I was diagnosed with small fiber poly-neuropathy. Extremely painful and debilitating at times. Now that two other members mentioned their medical issue I figured I’d do the same. My type of neuropathy already destroyed two of my organs. More than that I won’t discuss in an open forum. |

Yeah for me, this isn't much. Just moving on from seeing the friends I see here less regularly, to seeing the friends I have had over there for years more regularly. My food costs will decrease. I'll have more girlfriends. I go there every year anyway and spend months at a time. Extremely long holidays. I've just decided to extend out my holiday to last year-around, is all. I can afford it, and I am in the sunset of my life. Why not? This medical marijuana thing will help you though. Looking into it I'm finding websites doing weird exchanges of currency just to buy it because of the weird limbo that it is currently in. I'm wanting to try it because anything chemical based has done nothing but made me sick and hasn't worked at all but it sure seems to be a lot of jumping around just to be able to purchase it. Can you recommend where I can look that has a more straight forward purchasing process? |

Many sites prefer to call it by it's scientific name, Mitrogyna Speciosa, rather than Kratom.

In general:
White Vein = Stimulant, Mood enhancement (seems to work really well for allergies, of all things) Green Vein = In between Red and White with some properties of each Red Vein = More analgesic, relaxing, pain relief
We aren't doing any more than 2 grams at a time and have had no ill effects so far.
