Oh! Sorry no photos, I know Paddy wanted me to show how it was progressing but, after I finish each part I'm lucky to remember my name. That and I'm usually so dadburn tuckered out I couldn't hold a camera long enough to click the shutter. Again sorry Paddy, maybe I'll remember this coming development before and after the paneling goes up.

UPDATE: Well things are coming along inch by inch. I had a gentleman pipesmoker stop by for two days and we got almost all the insulation down and I finished that yesterday (took about 30 minutes at my snail pace). Had to do a little work on my table saw seeing I purchased used in Utah and had to undo what the former owner thought was GE (good enough). Had cut parts for the ramp I'm putting in awhile ago and finally finished putting it together and painting it to match the shop yesterday also. Today I got it installed and the no slip grips put on it, later I might put a handrail on the left side if I feel extra energetic (that might be awhile I'm thinking). Next is putting up 3/8" plywood on the walls, nope! aint gona paint it, just getting it cut right and put up will be enough work on my part. Got 18 outlets, 3 windows, A/C unit and of course a door to try and fit the paneling around properly and measure twice, cut once means nothing to me. It's usually measure twice cut once and start all over. I made the mistake of not painting the plywood in my last shop. It really reduced the lighting, the spread and evenness. It only takes 10 minutes with an airless sprayer and it pays dividends for years.

It only takes 10 minutes with an airless sprayer and it pays dividends for years. With the LED lighting I have it's like daylight in there now, besides you just don't know how hard it would be for me to even spray it with an airless, not to mention all the masking I'd have to do (too much standing and repetitive motion for my back). Just not a feasible option at this time with only just enough money left to finish the shop and order pipe making materials. I'll have gone through almost $20,000 moving out here, purchasing a shop building, electrifying it and finishing it off and purchasing a new lathe. All, I never thought I'd have the money for(and I've never had that kind of money to spend even when still working) but, for the grace of God and, still don't even have furniture for company to sit on when visiting. Not that I get any but, it sure be nice to see more then a chair an ottoman sitting in the middle of the room. Just might have to sell off the rest of my pipe collection to get there, only time will tell but, I still have a lot to be thankful for.

Here's some photos of the outside, ramp and insides. Not much to look at now but, as said before its coming along. After reflection I'm gona take a break this weekend and rest and tackle it again on Monday. One photo here shows the LED lighting, have 4 of them and they do improve greatly on the old florescents I use to use. The last one just shows the 3/8" planing I'll be putting up and still have to put the other table extension on the table saw although I've decided not to use it for the paneling, just use a skill saw and jig saw for the cut outs.

That is a beautiful shop! It will be a happy place for you, especially because you’ve done the work yourself.

Geez Ron, that is nice enough for a bloke like me to live in. Nice job! Well, I'll be spending most of my days in there so I want to be able to have it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The blood, sweat, and tears I shed now finishing it will pay me back in my comfort for years to come. I wise man said once, "A job worth doing, is worth doing well."
Again, thank you all!

Boy, am I jealous. That's my dream setup. Thank you sir but, at the moment it's NO dream for me, took me from about 9am till 3pm to put up 3 stinking sheets of 3/8" plywood. I realize there was setup time and then there was one window, 3 outlets and a break box to cut out but, somehow I remember doing this a lot faster.
Gotta do better then that, got 15 sheets to get up, I'll try tomorrow for at least 4 sheets up. I'd be fired if I was getting paid by the hour. LOL!

Ron, your work shed looks like it’s coming along fabulously. Definitely good enough for me to be comfortable living in👌👍👍. I see me doing an insulated shed with heat & A/C one day, setting up in my daughters backyard. A 15,000 BTU unit with a heat pump should suffice.

My daughter calls it a shed and I hate it. It's not a She Shed but, a Man's SHOP. Wish I could afford a big unit like that and the money to run it but, as it is I may have to replace the 6000 BTU unit with an 8000 BTU unit because I screwed up doing the math. We'll see if it keeps up once I get all the paneling up and then decide.

AC in Tejas only comes in one size the biggest one you afford and for heat the sixty dollar one.

AC in Texas only comes in one size the biggest one you afford and for heat the sixty dollar one. That's the same calculation we use in South Georgia! You can always put more clothes on to warm up, you can only take so many off to cool down. It will help tremendously that your SHOP is fully insulated. If I wasn't married and didnt have kids, I would live in one. No doubt about it.

Ron, if you did that yourself, you did a seriously professional job. Very nice work. Thank you sir, the carpentry yes, the electrical I had a contractor that I know put that in cause it be just too hard on me stringing it all from the house to the shop and inside like I did in my last shop.
Got 5 sheets hung today and one had 3 outlets and the A/C unit to cut out for before my back told me it had enough. Got two walls left and then
I'm putting blinds on the 3 windows and start moving in my equipment so I can start planning bench work and shelves. Still have about 4 weeks left before the new lathe arrives...........I hope no longer.
And thank y'all!

True...but you are a lot further than when I spoke to ya up Northwest when you were getting ready to hit the road. This is true and its been a long hard ride to get here. As much as I'd like it to be smooth sailing now I can't depend on it. I'm just taking it one day at a time and not rushing anything. If I get there quicker then expected, fine but, if I don't, I won't be
disappointed.
