Brilliantly pungent Diamond Head in the Mark Tompkins I’ve been thinking of as “Sherlock Horn”. The wife loves the jar and room notes of this Balkan symphony. There is definitely an orchestral palette to the effects on the sensorium brought about by this blend. 95/100 starz Mark has agreed to carve me a seventh for a seven day set and build a box for them. The Thunem Sextet will be the Kramer Septet! I’m very excited! Apologies to Jason, who I offered one of the Morgan’s, but I have decided to keep them all. He’s a great maker and a very nice man! PostImage.org is down right now, but when they’re back up I will post a picture of Mark’s latest circle of finished pipes. And my apologies to Josh for calling him ‘Jason’ above.

When Andrew Briggman, a young soldier in the US invasion of Afghanistan, witnesses other recruits killing innocent civilians under the direction of a sadistic leader, Sergeant Deeks, he considers reporting them to higher-ups but the heavily-armed, increasingly violent platoon becomes suspicious that someone in their ranks has turned on them and Andrew begins to fear that he’ll be the next target. I am smoking Cornell and Diehl Cordial while watching The Kill Team (2019) movie.

A rare 4th and 5th bowls of the day: Kramer’s Father Dempsey in a Tompkins and Nightcap in a Kaywoodie Air-Way.
With all the ritual and cleaning and the fact that I don’t like to work or talk or even move around while smoking I can only ever manage 1-3 bowls max.

Standard Mixture + SM Mellow in a Kaywoodie Export Super Grain 13b Author. I don't know what it is, but something about that pipe just begs for it to be held. It looks so...comfortable.
