You can do it with just what you have on hand I only make very small ones and don't add extra sugar to the fruit so I get a tart torte for two.

Maybe not as I lack the main ingredient- cranberries Hope to buy some soon. I am thinking more of a clafoutis, a kind of French tarte, torte, pudding or pie. More eggy than we often see. Normally made with stone fruits.

You should not have a problem. Do you follow a formula?

Made it into the Town of Toad today and et lunchy at my favorite Mexican joint, you know, the one with the real Mexicans. Chicken al a Monterrey. That is a split chicken breast grilled and served under a sauce of mushrooms, onions, poblanos and cheese. Very tasty. Rice and refritoes, baked jalapenos and corn tortillas, sour cream.

Piggy roast in the crock pot. I am going to get a pack of White Castle burgers this weekend at the store after Uncle Walt mentioned them earlier this week. This morning is a small avocado with eggs.

You mean the finished product turns soggy from absorbing moisture? That would be a problem. Just another reason why daily biscuits were so popular in the South?

I have a White Castle Corporate mug which I drink out of every morning. It is the best designed mug I have seen. Fond memories of visiting the White Castle store on "M" Street in Georgetown, Washington D.C. late at night in 1967. 10 burgers for $1. Just the thing for a car load of hungry teenagers.

I made hamburger steak with onion gravy over brown rice and canned greens. This house we rented was built in 1850, and the kitchen has only been slightly upgraded. 😁 It has the necessities, an electric range, microwave and a Kurig, but there's only room for one person at a time.

Sounds perfect unless you are holding a Democratic Caucus in the kitchen.

Yeah, they even had beef in them back then...today I'm not so sure of anything, but they taste good and I gotta die sometime...right?

Cane out good but took nearly two hours. Sweet Potato, steamed organic Swiss Chard, my own chicken gravy. Big glass of red wine. Yes, I am happy to be fed, praise God.

Lunch was a shrimp po boy and genuine LA boudin nor and dinner was a philly cheesesteak. I think I have exceeded my eating out enough for this week. John if you measure that element and look at that pin pattern they don't cost too much to replace then your oven will work better.

John if you measure that element and look at that pin pattern they don't cost too much to replace then your oven will work better. It is the bottom element under the oven floor which failed. I do not believe it is accessible except from underneath. You know the stove caught fire in the early 00's. Much wiring was destroyed. It only woks on some settings. I will check it out. I need to get it outside and up high enough to work on it. That means warmer weather. Currently 14 degrees here.

Pizza after picking up pills and now coffee in my new stainless travel mug that momma got me. I have made it through life with three big Disney mugs, two big starbucks mugs and three travel mugs. No bad for a man who drinks coffee non stop for the last forty years.
