Scrambled eggs and cheese rolled up in a couple of tortillas. The tortillas were whole wheat and tasted way too...healthy. Didnt care for 'em too much.
Hitting the coffee pot again, but that'll pretty much be an all-day thing. If they ever outlaw coffee, Im just gonna have to be an outlaw.

For me it is the sodium and not the fat. Gee, I wish I could find a lower salt Hot Dog. Gottem some Andouille in the fridge. Texas style. I looked at "healthy" hot dogs and it looks like it's not possible. I have trouble getting enough sodium which is very rare. The low fat usually means more meat. Low sodium usually goes with poor flavor. Maybe some other kind of sausage? www.health.com/food/best-and-worst-hot-dogs?dontsalt.blogspot.com/2017/06/hot-dogs.html?m=1

I cooked steaks for the wife and her baby sister on Sweetheart day, but the sides were the best part...I peeled 4 big turnips and put them in a crock pot, tossed small new potatoes in olive oil, in a large bowl, then added herb & garlic seasoning, I added the taters to the crock pot ,plus 1/4th cup of water and more seasoning...this cooked on low about 4 hrs.
later as I broiled the steaks ,the taters heated on a cookie sheet on the rack below, while the turnips simmered in the pot ,now on high for a bit...
meat was great, taters were very fine, but the turnips were the best I've ever had, fork tender and oh sooooo sweet!
flat ,green beans and hot rolls rounded the whole deal out, and the gals ate till they couldn't open their Russell Stover hearts

Two bows of my Pasta Fagiole Soup- creamy, thick, full of garlic and topped with Pecorino Romano freshly grated. I have enough for the rest of the month, it looks like. The pot is so big I have to store it on the back porch to keep it chilled and hope Cooney does not show up. If he does, that is OK. He gonna need an Alka Seltzer after.

After going to the sawbones we went to Trader Joes and picked up some bulk nuts, good looking fruit and vegetables, some frozen things, dried fruits and a few things that we don't know what the hell to do with. Such is the joy of TJ'S always something new to try. Dinner was leftover BBQ and now some salty pork rinds.

A little heavier but that it OK. I enjoy the slightly lower glycemic uptake and the sturdier noodle.

I have a large round steak cut into cubes, floured and browned, in a Dutch Oven with onions, garlic, spices and a lot of red wine. Slow cooking in the oven. Went to Kroger today and the "Managers Special" case was empty. Chicken thighs were 89¢/lb so I went with that. I did pick up a roast at $2.99/lb. Fruit and veggies were all on sale.
