Red Lentil and Cream of Leak Soup with rice and the last of my Green Chile with beans and chicos.
Felt so good afterwards I went out in moccasins and bare feet through the snow to break the ice out of the stock tanks with a pick and refill. Much snow trudging from the tank to the hydrant back and forth. Then hose draining.
I might put boots on to go out to the barn. That is further and there snow drifts.

Grilled Pork Ribs, the Farmer style which appear to be sliced Boston Butt, in an iron skillet for browning and then into the oven. Drizzled with lemon juice. Served with Potato Dumplings and Red Cabbage. Not Rotkohl, just red Cabbage, steamed.

Popcorn, popped in cocoanut oil. Butter Salt I received a "Care Package" from my girl cousin in Park City Utah. It contains a Jiffy Pop "pan" that blows up like a Bikini Model. I did not know that was still made. We had fun with those when I was a kid.

You, and 14,000,000 other American youth. Sadly, Angelique Pettyjohn, did not have a happy life and passed on too soon. I will always remember her as "The Jiffy Pop Girl".

For lunch, a nice-sized deerburger done on the NEW GF grill which arrived y’day. It’s larger than my old one, but not by very much. Also has a pre-heat light that the other one didn’t have. But best of all, the platens snap right off and are SO much easier to clean. Did a great job on the burger, too. I give this thing high marks as a useful kitchen tool.

If I were Captain Kirk, I would have camped the starship on a couple planets and ended the voyage.
A few years later...Major Anthony Nelson...what the heck was going on with him?
Too much radiation bombardment from flying, I suppose.
