I made a pot of collard and turnip greens, and boiled a bunch of turnips. We have a lot of leftover pulled pork. Maybe a salad.

I went into town today. Ate lunch at my favorite Mexican Joint, you know, the one with the real....
I go there so regularly I am now calling it "The Cafeteria" in honor of all those places I made my home in school and at work.
Taco plate, Carnitas, rice, refritos, steamed jalapenos, soft corn tortillas.

This evening it was...Grilled Cheese, and Tomato Soup. always good, just a heart warming ,simple meal that sticks to your ribs. A few weeks back ,we had Kroger's ,deli sliced colby-jack on honey wheat, with some really rich ,creamy tomato soup...we were as happy as a bunch of kids.

I made a pot of collard and turnip greens, and boiled a bunch of turnips. We have a lot of leftover pulled pork. Maybe a salad. Holy cow man...you're killing me...I waited till 7pm and had a green salad and a small glass of low carb vanilla milk. The thought of greens and boiled turnips makes my hair stand up! don't feel bad tho, I have a huge pork roast waiting to enter the oven in the morning...I've spent an hour or more in the gym for the last eleven days, and eating healthy, but some things you just got to do ...pulled pork is one of those things I will ,however, fill my plate with good veggies first!

The last of my Italian Bean Soup and some chicken pieces from the store. At least, I think it is chicken. Looking at the bones, it could be a pigeon.
Drained the collards I made the other night and used the water and ham shank for red lentils with quinoa, now underway. So cold, I must have soup on hand.

NY strip on the counter and I still have snap peas, yellow bell pepper and broccoli left over from the two dollar snack tray to use up. Big espresso on the desk surely even my mind can conger something up given enough caffeine to increase axoextracellular to a level of stability.

When we used to eat the cheap fried chicken TV dinners, we called them "Iguana Dinners", as the pieces surely did not look like chicken.

Got Chinese on the mind today...so heading over to our local place...looking at shrimp fried rice, couple of egg rolls and maybe egg drop/wonton soup as it is gonna be cold (for me) here tonight...39°...too cold for this old man.

I see the Weber Grill in my immediate future. Two game hens, butterflied, grilled and finished indirect, over hickory charcoal. Maybe a glaze of tomato, onion, and orange. Collards, sauted, seasoned brown basmati rice.
This could happen if all goes well. One never knows.
