Owing to the limited availability of eggs at the stores, I am limiting myself to one per day, scrambled with cheese and on a tortilla. Heck, I might even loose weight!!!!!

A neighbor gave me two very gamey chops which I suspect are mutton. So, into the slow cooker and the liquid leftover from the Corned Beef Brisket, cabbage, onions and carrots of a couple of nights ago. That ought to be interesting.

With the vegetables it ought to be palatable. Maybe another aromatic herb or garlic.

Those two mutton chops died painless.
I have to admit that pickling spice solves a world of problems.

Taco Tuesday it is not like I really know what day of the week it is. Walt I noticed the stores are wiped out of everything except Nutella. I was lucky and found a big cure 81 ham hidden in the shelf as the Kroger had no lunch meat. The loaf of bread came from Target. Not a smiggon of pasta to be seen. I really wanted a couple cans of tomata soup I ended up with one can. The Kroger had four count them four gallons of milk left and we were in the store as soon as it opened. I bought a 18 pack of eggs. As we were leaving they had began to make people stand outside to limit the number of folks in the store. Target was fully stocked with hoarder items up front but they were also out of pasta.

Just saw that our Governor (Florida) has issued an Executive Order closing all restaurants except for take out. So, grocery store is empty and restaurants are take out only...looks like I'll be moving next door to Dervis and his farm in Tenn.

Since I went into town to see my ex who is ill with another problem, I stopped at "Numner Won Chinese" and ordered takeout. Takeout is all they are allowed to do now. I talked with my Waiter pals, all great guys from Maylasia and Hong Kong. My Ex is fond of their stuff: Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, Kung Pao Chicken and Orange Peel Spicy Beef, steamed pork dumplings.
I agree with most of Taos, they must be supported.

That Corned Beef Brisket, cabbage, potatoes and carrots I cooked on Sat, Paddy's Day in the crock-pot, the liquid went on to cook Mutton Chops, and now has a smallish Sirloin Roast in it. I may top it up with a bottle of Guinness Stout. I have a feeling this liquid is going to be like a sourdough-- used for many things over a long time. It just keeps getting more flavorful.

I thawed out some Gumbo I made months ago. Chicken, Sausage, and Shrimp. Ought to taste good now what with it snowing like December out there.
