So...my daughter made supper, as Shweetie is feeling poorly. She took seasoned hamburger patties, added onions and diced potatoes to each one, wrapped them in individual aluminum foil pouches, and baked them in the oven. It was good. Seemed like a long way around the wagon to get a baked burger and fries, but they were good.

Had 2 dozen wings with the wife for lunch. Right now I am alternating Mike and Ikes, Hot Tamales, and Hershey Kisses. Interesting!

Into the campfire they all went for baking/roasting. Tasted good with wood smoke under the stars. and around the fire.

Damn, what a feast Charlie. I am roasting some chicken today for sure, I won't get it out of my head now.
But first, time to lie down. Up at 4AM again...

Another crockpot meal of cabbage, potatoes, carrots and a small beef roast. The last piece of beef the market in Taos had on Friday. There were four red potatoes at the store. I got them all!!! I understand from folks in town there has been no resupply since.
In addition to all the other shortages, no flour either. I was able to get one of the last two small boxes of Bisquick.
This appears to be the situation now and I will have to adjust to it. I never thought we would have food shortages like this in our country.
We may have to go to mandatory rationing with coupon books like during WWII.

I can handle temporary inconveniences if that is what it is- temporary. I am concerned this is what the new normal will be. I do not see any evidence of re-supply. No one I know has purchased some needed items in several days. There is no TP in Taos. I hope someone writes a corrido about that!
